We are increasingly seeing our elected politicians, especially the ones who come from privileged and elite backgrounds, being out of touch with us, the majority of the public. It is my opinion that we can't entirely blame them because they simply don't fit into our shoes. It is important that we elect one of us to the high offices at Westminster so that they understand our plights when debating and passing laws. At the moment the rich and the powerful, including the rich politicians, look after only themselves and behave with so much immunity, that we are left speechless. If we want to change the world around us, we have to start from the basics: select and elect only the representatives who have hearts, brains as well as ears.

This will allow us to once more elect honest representatives whom we can trust and who will stand by their word and work for those who elect them and their constituencies.

The public no longer trusts politicians and will stop voting if trust cannot be restored. Following the break of Nick Clegg's pledge on tuition fees, politicians could see that his party remained in the coalition government and he remained as leader. The country needs honesty from politicians, it's ok to say 'we'll try to do something' even if they fail in delivering, but if they say they 'will do something' the electorate are entitled to believe they have done their homework and are positive they can deliver, otherwise they shouldn't promise. When politicians lie to get office or make claims they haven't thought through, they damage democracy. They should also make it clear before an election, which manifesto promises are negotiable in the event they are asked to form a coalition. It is a fundamental breach of contract to gain office on the strength of promises made and then renege on those promises when in power. The electorate needs to show there will be consequences if they do.

Many ordinary people in this country fear another Tory government and are also concerned about the rise of UKIP. If the result of the 2015 election is similar to the 2010 result we do not want a tory government of any sort! The only way to achieve this in my view is a coalition of left wing parties. All three parties together would be a government of social, economic and environmental justice for all and not just the wealthy elite. We call for the three party leaders to come together now and agree to a true power sharing coalition in the event of a hung parliament. If this happens, then if you vote labour you'd get Labour, If you vote Lib Dem you'd get the Lib Dems and if you vote Green you would get the greens. Please, do this for the good of the whole country!

We need a government of the people for the people

This practice is blatantly corrupt and a blight on the reputation of the "mother of parliaments". Perhaps that phrase is meant to refer to the U.S. meaning of "mother". It should not.

This is important as there is masses of evidence (sorry, we don't have any of it to show you) that proves that the Scotland v England football game, played on the 18th November 2014, was rigged in favour of England by the Westminster Establishment. The fact that 3 Scotland goals were found in a bin behind the BBC HQ is just one bit of proof we have of this claim (again, sorry we have no proof of the claim. I'm sure we can make a video or something). We all know that Scotland actually won, so please sign this petition!

Justice for Shahzad and Shama On 4th November 2014, a Christian couple Shahzad Masih (26 yrs) and Shama Bibi (24 yrs) were beaten, tortured and burned alive in the fiery furnace of a brick kiln -while those baying for their blood screamed praises to Allah. The incident occurred after Muslim accusers led by Muslim landowner Yousaf Gujjar alleged Shama had burnt the Koran. He then sent men to three mosques in neighbouring towns, while he tried to coerce money out of the couple who he had locked in a room on his land. Eventually in response to local Mosques preaching hatred over their loud speakers, a mob of over 300 Muslims gathered outside the locked room. They climbed the roof of the building and entered through the straw roof. They then beat the couple with sharp and hard implements, stripped them naked while they goaded them and finally burnt then alive in the kiln - when they could no longer stand due to their fractured bones. Until Pakistan reforms their ways more Christians and other minorities will meet a similar fate. This is not acceptable in the 21st Century or any other century. Currently there are no mechanisms available to hold errant councillors to account other than through judicial review, which is beyond the financial reaches of the average member of the electorate, This is clearly unacceptable in a true democracy especially when councillors are currently judged by the Ombudsman or any other legislative body to be at serious fault they are not held accountable for their unlawful and maladministration practices/decisions!

July 2007- MAXIMUS settled a lawsuit brought against it by the United States government for involvement in falsifying Medicaid claims for $30.5 million. September 2011- MAXIMUS INC. was sued by U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) for disability discrimination for failure to promote a female employee because it regarded her as disabled. MAXIMUS settled the lawsuit in August 2012. Is this really the right company to take over from ATOS to assess ill and disabled people for their ability to work.
