London is most expensive city in the UK, with extremely high living cost. At the moment students only get 30% off travel cards and 16-25 cards only allow 30% off of off peak single fares, but must pay the full price for peak fares. Why should students have to pay to go to university when they are struggling to afford everything else. The cost of education is expensive enough, why should we have to pay more. Help students out and let them travel to university for free.

A lot of us who go to vale skatepark would love to ride at night but it's impossible when there is no lights reflecting on to the park this will also help a lot of riders as winter is now here and it gets dark at 4 pm and it's hard to get a quick session before the sun goes down and a lot of us have jobs or school and it's hard to fit in a session so please consider this

The citizens of Goole are being adversely affected by ad hoc decisions on housing development, industrial growth, etc., which are not matched by improvements in infrastructure and services to match increased demand. East Riding Council is remote, autocratic and neither engages with nor consults the local population about decisions in any meaningful way. The Town Council has a similar approach, but the two Councils have a very dysfunctional, adversarial, relationship which has a negative impact on the town's citizens. The town of Beverley has been burnished to a state of magnificence, and there is a feeling that this has been achieved by depriving Goole and other areas of necessary investment. Waiting lists for children's swimming lessons have become so long that the ERY Council has effectively taken away weekday swimming opportunities for adults with commitments during the day to put on swimming classes. The Portfolio holder at the Council, Cllr Richard Burton, who approved (if he didn't take) this arbitrary decision without consultation has overseen a completely new leisure centre in the town which he represents (Bridlington), when the existing one by any standards was not old. Waiting lists for all local services are growing longer and longer. Approval is frequently given for housing and business development (which are good things) without investing in services and infrastructure to meet new demands (which is bad for the citizens). The body responsible for coordinating the development of the town (the Goole Renaissance Partnership) has committed and hardworking staff, but no budget. We need an investigation into these circumstances, and binding recommendations on how to resolve the problems. Because ERYC and GTC do not listen, we need an external impartial body to investigate as a matter of great urgency

Safeguarding our children has to be a top priority. Irresponsible and illegal parking around schools is increasingly dangerous. This is a national issue. Current legislation is inadequate and councils do not have the funds to place wardens at all schools to enforce the legislation that is currently in place.

When people are suffering from mental health issues, many times they have tried to help themselves first and as a final resort try to get professional help. To be told you have to wait between 6-18 weeks can be catastrophic for some people, who simply can’t function properly in their day to day lives. It must be nothing short of torture living with a mental health issue, in addition to the potential financial worries and toll it can take on the individuals immediate family. Untreated mental health issues can lead to other mental and physical issues, alcohol and drug abuse and death. It’s never too early to get help but it can be too late. #dontmakemewait

This appeal is important, because we have witnessed a political party use the countries money, to reward one particular region above others to secure a voting majority in the house of commons. This practice is immoral and should be considered unconstitutional and illegal in a modern democracy.

Many people in the UK suffer from dental issues. A large percentage of these people are able to get free orthodontic treatment from the NHS. However, there are many people who aren't able to receive free treatment because their teeth are 'not bad enough'. I suffer from a 5.5mm overbite and to qualify for braces on the NHS, it has to be 6.5mm. This may seem irrational and silly, but it's a problem that many people face. When I look in the mirror, or when people look at me, a defining feature is my teeth. Not because they are good, but because of the wonkiness. Every person I have spoken to about my teeth has told me that they aren't good and I need a brace. However, because my teeth aren't 'bad enough' for a brace, I need to pay for a brace. For my 'severity', it costs £3800. My family, along with many others, struggle to pay this amount, especially since there is more money according to the 'severity' of your teeth. There are people who definitely can't pay this sort of money. This means some people have to live with terrible teeth. Malcolm Gladwell highlights the inequality of people with good teeth and bad teeth. He says "Those with bad teeth are also given a lower chance of success - because they are denied certain entry-level jobs." A study carried out by Bupa revealed that almost half of the surveyed population found people with healthy looking teeth to be more authoritative. Further studies also noted that people with better teeth seemed to be ideal employees because they appear meticulous and diligent. An outstanding 42% of employees also felt that working with bad teeth was distracting. There are always talks about working hard to achieve success which is all fair, but if my bad teeth affect how successful I am or halt me from getting my dream job then I can only blame the NHS and the ludicrously high prices to pay for braces that should be free. If someone can get breast implants or sex reassignment surgery on the NHS, to feel more confident or comfortable in the body they're born in, why can I not get free braces? I would feel more confident in my body if I had straight teeth, but yet I don't receive that free?

It is becoming impossible to find a letting agent or landlord that accepts housing benefit. This is encouraging an army of illegal landlords letting out sheds and offices. It is making homelessness rise rapidly. It is like Victorian England again.

The majority of the children from Carharrack have to cross this road to walk to school and the speeds that cars travel makes this a lethal route, we encourage children to walk to school, get out more etc but if we can't make the routes safe then how can we expect parents to feel confident in doing this? The junction at the bottom of the hill has had numerous accidents mainly caused through speeding and until the speed is brought under control these accidents will unfortunately continue to happen, do we have to wait until there is another fatality? No let's get together and act now to make our village safer for us all

In last 12 months London has seen a dramatic rise in the number of crimes by criminals taking advantage of the anonymity found in the wearing of motorcycle helmets. These include some of the most cruel crimes in modern times such as blinding and disfiguring with acid. These crimes are often targeted at innocent people who are merely trying to make an honest living. More has to be done to prevent this epidemic of horrendous crimes. From August 1 2015 to July 31 2016 there were 5,647 offenses with scooters, mopeds and motorcycles used in the crime. For the 12 months ending July 31 2017, that number rocketed to 17,897.
