No political party names or logos on voting forms in local electionsElections should require the individual candidates to make their case for being elected. There should be space for good local independent candidates to win on their merit. Local elections often become about national politics and nothing to do with local issues. Poor candidates often succeed in getting elected, not because they will be any good, but because they are the candidate for a given party. Candidates will still be able to stand as the candidate for a given party, but they will have to get their name known by going out out and campaigning, instead of relying on a party vote that can see candidates getting elected without having seen a single leaflet delivered, door knocked on, or telephone call made.28 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Neale Upstone

Stop the contamination of our water by plastic micro-particles (used by the cosmetics industry)Micro-plastic particle abrasives are used as exfoliants in consumer products (e.g. toothpastes, body and face scrubs and gels). These particles, which persist in our environment for 100 years, are designed to be washed down the drain. They are too small for our country’s sewage systems to filter. The micro-plastic particles’ large surface area relative to their modest volume makes it easy for toxic substances, such as persistent organic pollutants (think PCBs and DDT for example), to stick to them, causing further toxic harm. Micro-plastic particles are now being found in fish, marine mammals and reptiles and their toxic overload is affecting plankton at the bottom of the food chain. • Consumers can CHECK products for plastics and REFUSE to purchase them (look for polythene and "PE", "PP" or "PMMA" in the list of ingredients). Please…get plastics off our bodies and out of our water!95 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Helen Bell

Force Mobile Phone Copmpanies to allow a Usage CapI am a parent that is continually under pressure to supply my children with state of the art technology in the form of these all singing all dancing smart phones. To be able to truly control my children's spending the only way I can do this is to overspend initially on a phone and go Pay As You Go. Then there is the problem of teenagers hassling for more credit. Pay as You go is expensive. The cost of these phones are extortionate and the tariffs are designed to maximise the income for the company and to encourage people to take out contracts. The contract price plans are attractive. You can get a decent phone and a decent price plan for a reasonable monthly outlay. It is an easy option. My daughters were signed up and on the whole it is fantastic. They choose the phone, they know they can't upgrade it for 2 years and they know how much they can use it. In theory. As parents it is perfect. We sign them up. We are responsible for the bill. That is the issue. We naively assume our children are responsible adults and will treat this service with respect. As parents we are giving our children, young children, this responsibility maybe a little too early. There are children out there running up huge bills for their parents through lack of understanding of the consequences. These children don't realise it can lead to family debt and they assume it only effect them. There is also the point where the whole account can be suspended for non payment. The whole family, where a job which relies on the phone, could be at risk. My daughter ran up a bill of £130. On contacting the provider we were offered no help. The phone company said what if in the case of emergency. With unlimited texts and 999 I don't see this as being a valid reason. They told me they don't offer a capping service and we were responsible for the amount. After all she used it. I believe this is purely profiteering on the part of the phone company. I believe it should be a shared responsibility between the phone company and the contract holder. I believe that if they offered a cap option then this would prevent children (and some adults too) from putting their families through financial hardship. It will teach our children limits. I, after all, do not want to be presented with another extortionate bill that I can't afford.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Keith Murdoch

MP Work ExperienceIt is important that each MP has served in various sectors of the very services, jobs and people they represent. All I ask is that all MP before taking office has worked in various sections that make up local life. From a Teaching Assistant in a school, to a care home, or in a NHS ward, or small business, working alongside people with various disabilities. The MP working the same hours as the worker to gain essential first hand experiences about the people they are going to represent.66 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dave Richtor

SCHOOL HOLIDAY TIME OFF.WHY SHOULD WE NOT BE ABLE TO GO FOR A HOLIDAY TO RELAX, & NOT ONLY THAT BUT TO GIVE OUR CHILDREN EDUCATION IN OTHER COUNTRIES, THEIR RELIGIONS AND TO EXPERIENCE SIGHTS THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE. MYSELF & MY DAUGHTER BOTH WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SWIM WITH DOLPHINS & I SO WANT TO GIVE HER THAT EXPERIENCE. SURELY THERE COULD BE A MIDDLE GROUND HERE. MAYBE EVEN SET WORK TO TAKE WITH THEM SO THAT THEY DONT MISS OUT ON LESSONS THEY WONT ATTEND. I WOULDNT MIND SITTING FOR AN HOUR OR SO EACH DAY WITH HOMEWORK,AND ENSURING SHE DIDNT MISS OUT ON THAT VITAL EDUCATION. BUT AT THE MINUTE I CANT TAKE HER AWAY AS I CANT AFFORD TO PAY THE EXTRA HUNDREDS OF POUNDS THAT IT COSTS TO GO AWAY IN THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. THEN IF I GO AWAY DURING SCHOOL TIME, I END UP BEING LANDED WITH A FINE, ENDANGERING MY DAUGHTERS PLACE IN HER SCHOOL & THE FACT THAT THE SCHOOL WONT SEND HER CURRICULUM WORK TO DO & SHE WILL MISS OUT.40 of 100 SignaturesCreated by nadine rutherford

Save MeriamIn case you haven’t already heard, it turns out that barbarism very much exists in the year 2014. Many people, myself included, will often try to convince ourselves that we exist in a sleek chrome sort of place where we giggle at youtubers, slurp frappalappachinos and worry about deadlines. Unfortunately, time and time again this palatable fabrication is ripped away from beneath us as if by a poorly trained waiter. Everything we had propped up to comfort ourselves comes crashing down and we see a stark reality. A woman has been sentenced to death for apostasy. The victim in question is called Meriam. She is a Somalian who upon marrying a Christian man and converting from Islam has been charged with adultery. She was sentenced in Khartoum and will be put to death by hanging in two years. Don’t jump to conclusions though. It turns out that the judge is a fairly progressive man. Not only did he give the woman the chance to recant, which she flatly refused, but he even postponed the sentence for two years to allow her to give birth. Progressive, that would be, if we were living in the sixteenth century. Perhaps the most dispiriting aspect of the case would be that she refused to recant. If someone who changes their faith refuses to deny their new belief under the threat of death, you would almost expect a depraved zealot to respect that conviction. A judge issuing such a verdict either can’t recognize blatant martyrdom or chooses to ignore it because it isn’t in the name of the required deity. I would suggest that he did recognize this and purposefully chose to convict her of adultery instead of apostasy, in a disgusting attempt to sully this brave woman’s name. I call on the British government to demand that Meriam Yehya Ibrahim Ishag be freed26 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Daniel Woolton

Fair Ticket Access to all Sporting Events for Disabled SpectatorsFor far too long, the ticketing arrangements have been biased heavily in favour of Corporate entertainment, a large number of which are not taken up. Such wastage is obscene since it reduces the allocation to the participating Clubs, which has a domino effect on the number of tickets available to Disabled fans. Please look into this as a matter of urgency.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John McCrea

Open all MI6 files on state sponsored murdersMI6 is alleged to have "organised" two high-profile murders in 1961: Congolese Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba in January and UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld in September. Together with the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the South African Civil Cooperation Bureau (CCB), MI6 is also alleged to have targeted UN Assistant Secretary-General Bernt Carlsson on Pan Am Flight 103 which was sabotaged over Lockerbie on 21 December 1988. In 2014, because incriminating evidence has recently come to light, the United Nations is expected to launch an inquiry into these state sponsored murders. Give power to the police to deal with noise polution on the spotAs someone who has had to put up with noise I have been horrified by the apathy of the authorities. despite being able to hear noise from a household that was not my direct neighbor the police could not act. If you contact the council department responsible for dealing with the problem you find that you have to make a formal complaint during normal working hours which means that the culprits are notified of YOUR complaint even before the local authority bothers to collect evidence which they will then want to do. A much simpler solution is that the police are called and that they witness and deal with the problem on the spot and perhaps leave until later a return to the property to confiscate equipment used to make excessive noise. In every neighborhood there are people who have to go to work and it is unacceptable that they should have to put up with excessive noise. I personally have witnessed where a noise complaint has been made it has resulted in retaliation from the perpetrators in the form of damage to property resulting in £1000's of damage done and the victim has had to move with the police unwilling or unable to intervene and the local authority uninterested and other neighbors too worried of retaliation to offer supporting evidence. Many people do not report noise problems and suffer in silence because they FEAR retaliation which is a highly realistic risk.152 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Simon Turner
