Florrie fell victim to a domestic violence assault in Utero and at 29 weeks 3 days gestation which is a viable gestation outside the womb she sadly passed away from secondary illnesses she suffered as a repercussion of malicious actions. These actions were unjustifiable and led to the fatality of unborn Florrie. These are babies we meet on screen and feel move,we already know and love them before birth. Until birth a mother should protect her baby,which through no fault of my own,could not. Not only should that be a Mother's job but the Father's job also .... Florrie's father knew the harm he was causing to both myself and our daughter and he proceeded despite this. I hope by doing this parents similar to myself wont have to fight to prove their baby was deserving of life and robbed of that .... And that ultimately someone must be held accountable!! It is important to myself as I know first hand how it feels to lose a child in this way,to feel isolated and that there is no Law in place to protect pregnant women or our unborn babies ... Our babies do not get the recognition of the deserving life of which they are. We attempted to collect data from the Office Of National Statistics and we found the bare minimum ... In result of that I have gone on to collect my own data and have spoken to victims first hand to find out the similarities between my case and their case and there is alot of similarities which isnt acceptable. However if Florrie's Law had already been in place beforehand then the outcome of the prosecution would have been a firmer punishment than what was given in all of these cases.

The Trustees froze all branch bank accounts with no notice on Friday 19th February 2021. They are asking members to approve a resolution that proposes that all branches will be closed and that all the branch monies will be redeployed to cover HQ debits and the future activities of the main Guild. The proposal is not supported with any financial planning or budgeting documentation. We are concerned that members have not been given the opportunity to understand if the Trustees of this National Charity have correctly carried out their duties and that no provision has been made to allow for members to suggest an alternative solution. If members do not vote for the resolution then all branches will close anyway and their financial assets will be seized. The local branches have existed for many decades and offer a fabulous place for individuals to share their knowledge, exchange ideas and encourage the art of both contemporary and traditional stitching. Many branches are also involved in outreach work in the community, encouraging and teaching textile arts and crafts to both children and adults. All aspects of crafting are currently enjoying significant growth in interest, particularly during the pandemic and the local branches have worked hard to keep their programme of events running. Now, with so many people feeling isolated and with mental health issues, is not the time to force branches to close and redeploy branch funds. The Council Officers have been in contact but are not reacting quickly enough even - it has been over a year - even though Councillors have tried. It is an accident waiting to happen and could be either geographical or climate change that is causing it. Either way there is a serious risk of potential harm to Children should it completely collapse. As the summer months arrive more children will be playing and should the worse happen it would be an avoidable disaster if the councils environment and parks dept act now as a matter of urgency.

If this unit is closed people that require mental health support will have to go to Millbrook in Mansfield - 18 miles away. This is a long car journey, but if you do not have access to private transport, its an even longer journey by bus. I have been a patient at both Millbrook and Bassetlaw, and as I was fortunate enough to have a car, my family was able to visit me. However, I am concerned for families that do not have their own form of transport. This could act as a barrier to treatment, or family support during treatment. The pandemic has put an extra strain on mental health support services, and exposed how important they are. I believe that it is important to keep the services at Bassetlaw Hospital open as a result.

John Carroll is the last real community facility available in Radford, one of the most deprived areas in Nottingham, which is now at risk of closure due to council budget cuts. Nottingham City Council has made £272 million worth of funding cuts in the last decade, but rather than standing up to the Government's austerity policies, the Labour-run City Council is forcing the poorest communities in the city to pay the price. John Carroll could become the latest victim in this attack on community services but you can help by signing this petition. For decades John Carroll served as place where children could build the confidence they need to succeed and as a sporting facility for under-funded schools. It has been a polling centre, a base for political campaigning and a hub for Notts County to inspire local budding sport prospects. It has even served as an information and confidence building point for victims of Female Genital Mutilation. Most importantly, John Carroll Leisure Centre has served as a meeting place for a diverse range of groups and plays an enormous role in fostering co-operation and trust between people in the community. The UK uses around 37,000,000,000 (yes, 37 billion) bottles and cans each year and we only recycle 56% of these. (https://www.recyclingbins.co.uk/recycling-facts/) This leaves over 16 billion bottles and cans littering our green spaces, parks and beaches. Litter causes harm to pets, wildlife and people. We need a Deposit Return Scheme, backed by the Government, similiar to the scheme in Sweden. For example, the Swedish scheme, applies to anyone who professionally fills or imports plastic bottles or metal cans with ready-to-drink beverages. They must ensure that the containers are included in the Government approved recycling system which includes a refundable deposit for every container. This scheme has been run by a company owned by the Swedish Brewery Association, Swedish Food Retailers’ Federation and Swedish Grocery Store Association, since 1984, at no cost to the Government or Local Authorities.(https://pantamera.nu/om-oss/returpack-in-english/) It is worth noting that Sweden's overall recycle rate is 85%. In 2018, Environment Secretary Michael Gove said, “It is absolutely vital we act now.” If it was urgent then, it is even more so now. Action is now required.

Householders are facing massive uninsured costs to raise or re-build properties along the Weaver Navigation and elsewhere following Storm Christoph. The Weaver is not known for flooding but climate change, cut backs by CRT, and massive new estates and flood defences upstream mean we now need to invest heavily in flood mitigation. The £5,000 grants will be a small but welcome contribution.

Mouayed Bashir, a 29 year old Welsh-Sudanese man, died in police custody on 17th February 2021. There are a number of suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. His parents called 999 for an ambulance after Mouayed experienced a mental health crisis. Instead, a large number of police attended his house. Mouayed had been stabbed a few weeks earlier, but police officers restrained him despite the family telling the police many times about the severity of his wound. While under restraint by multiple officers, he died. There was no proper risk assessment, and we believe this lack of a risk assessment from Gwent Police has led to Mouayed's death. A leaked memo by the Metropolitan Police commented that while it does not routinely release footage, there are exceptions to this rule when not doing so will negatively damage community cohesion. We believe that transparency is important for fostering positive community cohesion, and Moyied's death has already seriously negatively effected and damaged community relations in Maesglas, Newport and across Wales. As veteran activist Lee Jasper has pointed out re has been a long history of Black men suffering mental health crisis who have died after being forcibly restrained by police including Olsaeni Lewis, Sean Rigg and Kevin Clarke. In 2021, you are 10.1x more likely to be stopped and searched by Gwent police if you are Black, and you are 6.5x more likely to go to prison if you are Black in Wales. Mouayed should not have been restrained: Mouayed should still be with us and with his family, and he is the second young Black man who has died following police contact in South Wales since the beginning of 2021.

When people living with cerebral palsy reach 18, the joined-up healthcare they've received stops. This is wrong. We want a government review to adopt the recommended guidelines so when people with CP become adults, their care doesn't ‘fall off a cliff’. They are being treated like Second Class Citizens. People with other lifelong conditions receive joined-up healthcare provision and a clear care pathway, so why not adults with cerebral palsy? Simply adopting the NICE guidelines would be life-changing for 130,000 UK adults with CP and, it’s estimated, would boost the economy to the tune of £422mn by helping people stay healthy and stay in work. We just want Care Parity for CP. Please sign the petition and convince the government to do the right thing. NICE guidelines apply to England, Wales and, effectively, Northern Ireland. In Scotland, there is an equivalent called SIGN guidelines. There are currently no SIGN guidelines for adults with cerebral palsy – a further inequality. The Royal Family has a worrying and undemocratic ability to influence the government behind closed doors before final decisions in parliament are made. One way this happens is through ‘Queen’s consent.’ This requires new bills which would have a direct impact on the Queen’s powers or interests to be submitted for her formal consent. Without this, laws cannot be made. It is unfathomable that in the 21st century, in a democracy, the Queen and the Prince of Wales hold such great power. It may well be a constitutional monarchy in theory, but it seems that the monarchy has a lot more power than many previously thought.

Right now, landlords can evict tenants without giving a reason, using Section 21 of the 1988 Housing Act. The Government pledged to end these unfair evictions in 2019, but have not delivered on this promise. Losing your home through no fault of your own is never easy, but during a pandemic, it can be dangerous. Last March, the Government promised us that no one would lose their homes because of Covid, but renters are currently being evicted because of section 21, even in lockdown. My name is Jacqueline. At the start of the pandemic I was working for a care agency out in the community, ensuring that vulnerable people were being properly and well cared for in their homes. The stress from the job, made worse by the PPE scandal, finally took its toll on my mental health in June 2020 and, on the orders of my GP, I was medically signed off from work. This led to me having to apply for Universal Credit whilst also looking for another job, in what was and still is, a very difficult time. I had to wait five weeks for my first Universal Credit payment which meant that I was immediately plunged into debt. I had a small amount of debt before, but had almost paid this off. The landlord knew about my situation but was not remotely interested. I was issued with a Section 21 ‘no fault’ eviction notice in August 2020. What followed was numerous emails from the letting agency, constantly wanting updates on when I would be leaving the property. The moving costs were too expensive and I could not find anywhere else for myself and my daughter to go. This meant we did not leave the house at the end of the eviction notice and the pressure from the agency grew even worse. Each time I received an email I just felt so harassed, as though a tremendous weight had been put on me. My landlord has now applied to the court to have me evicted. The law means they don’t even need a reason. I am now facing the reality of being made homeless and with nowhere to go. The Government promised that people like me would not lose their home due to covid-19. But that’s exactly what’s happening. It’s been almost two years since they promised to end unfair evictions, but I’m now facing homelessness in the middle of a pandemic. Everyone deserves a safe and secure home - that's why I reached out to Generation Rent - the Government must stop dragging their feet and deliver on their promise to end unfair evictions.

Background: "Bingham deserves better" was the response of the Chair of Rushcliffe Borough Council's Standards Committee (Sep 2020) to numerous complaints made against Councillors at Bingham Town Council over the last year. So what has been going on? What we know:  * The Town Clerk was unfairly dismissed and subsequently reinstated, but 'Staff Issues' still repeatedly appear on the Agendas. * Excessive use of 'Private & Confidential' makes it impossible to follow key issues resulting in a lack of 'Openness and Accountability'. * Staffing review commissioned two years ago, at a cost of £4550, highlighted several concerning issues within the council. Recommendations of the report have not been implemented. * Correspondence between Human Resource consultants and two Councillors has been withheld from other Councillors by 'bloc' vote from the controlling group. * Human Resource Consultant expenses of £9000 in this financial year (based on Council's own estimate). The Consultants have declined to quote for a new contract. * Town Clerk's advice as 'Proper Officer' is regularly ignored by the controlling group. * Events have resulted in the use of no less than seven 'Extraordinary’ meetings in 2020. In Summary: Considerable time and money has been spent on Staff issues to the detriment of infrastructure projects. We also believe that progress on issues highlighted in the 2016 ‘Community Led Plan’ and the ‘Brilliant Bingham’ initiative for the future of Bingham have been stifled by these distractions and regrettably neither fully embraced. This has led to ineffective performance, a weakened non-inclusive community and Council, where civic values, responsibility, and pride have been undermined, resulting in a lack of efficiency and community cohesion where standard Governance rules have been broken. What we would like:  * Dissolve the Council and take over the operation until new elections can be held. * Reset the culture and strengthen the procedures at the Council so that the above mentioned concerns cannot continue.
