River Action
Launched in 2021, River Action is on a mission to rescue Britain’s river by empowering local communities to take action, mobalising public opinion to hold polluters to account and advocating for political and industry change.
We apply pressure on industrial and agricultural producers, water companies, and other polluters. We want them to take greater responsibility for remedying the adverse environmental impact their operations and supply chains are having on the health of our rivers.
Since launch, River Action has now led a number of high profile campaigns which have materially increased public awareness of the pollution crisis facing our rivers, highlighted the failure of Government funded environmental agencies to address this, and led to polluting food producers to admin culpability for their environmental destruction.
Our rivers are in crisis. Wherever our precious rivers are being abused by polluters, River Action will be campaigning to raise awareness, hold polluters to account, and seek solutions to the freshwater emergency.
