Back reform on the use of medicinal Marijuana
Reform the legislation surrounding the use of marijuana for medical reasons. Currently, only one licence has been granted in the UK to research the medicinal properties of the drug. GW Pharmaceuticals holds the only licence; they have produced a spray called Sativex which assist with pain management for people with MS an Cancer. I believe that currently the Liberal Democrats are trying to block this, to what end i don't know.
Why is this important?
Numerous countries have now realised the benefits of this drug. They have taken it out of the drug barons hands an have organised it. They now have revenue and employment opportunities within this growing sector but the most important part is that it is saving lives. We need to forward think and not be bogged down with old ways of thinking regarding this wonder drug. It's the future of pharmacy.
