Closure of day centres for the elderly
The Anchorage Community Centre in Shipley. Stop planning permission to build flats and close a local community centre for the elderly. Go to bradford.gov.uk/planning and choose 'Comment on a planning application'. Enter 'Peaselands' then search to place an objection.
Why is this important?
Loneliness is considered to be one of the main problems among elderly persons which can have a serious effect on health so why would the government close such active community centres?
