Celebrate Religious Diversity
Following on from the success of the #trainbow, it is important that SE railway continues to celebrate and include all parts of our society, especially those who are persecuted. SE railway should put a crucifix on the nose of their javelin trains at Easter, a star of David at Passover and the star and Crescent at Ramadan together with posters to explain the significance of these symbols.
Why is this important?
Christians are officially the most persecuted minority in the world at the moment, Jews have a long and painful history of persecution and Islamophobia is prevalent in our society. It would be wonderful for SE railway to start conversations amongst customers and colleagues by demonstrating how much all of these groups have in common. It would also combat religious illiteracy which is leading to intolerance in our society.
