Free parking at sports facilities
Look at the car parking charges being raised against Golfers playing at the municipal course in Vivary park taunton. This facility had lost in excess of 200 members since the local council stopped the refunds to course and Bowling green users and this has had a detrimental effect on a lot of senior citizens who used the club for both sport and indeed as a social outlet.
Why is this important?
We need to get more people using the local facilities in the centre of taunton, which included a municipal golf course and a lawns bowling green. For many of the older users this is the only chance they get to socialise/exercise with people of there own age group.
