To: Dan Hannan, MEP

Mr Hannan, give a date for your resignation

During the referendum campaign, you have asked the British people to vote you out of a job.

Now they have, but we haven't yet heard a date for your resignation, or even a statement of your intentions.

Tell us when you intend to stop benefiting for what you and the British public have said is a corrupt and defunct institution, or better, resign from it with immediate effect.

Why is this important?

MEP Hannan has been one of the most vocal adversaries of the continuing participation of the United Kingdom in the European Union.

He has claimed that he has no wish or need to remain as MEP. Yet days pass and he has not given any statement as to how he intends to follow through and make his intentions effective.

Now that, at his request, the British public have voted him out of a job, it is important that he actually leaves his job. The ability of British politicians to follow through and act on their stated intentions is indispensable at this time of crisis. On it depends the credibility of our representatives among the public and on the international stage.
