Give NHS staff a pay rise worthy of the service they provide our nation
Without the dedication of NHS staff this country would be in a very sorry state. After all the praise and thanks offered during the pandemic we all hoped that this would lead to a pay award worthy of this recognition. To say 1% is insulting is an under statement and without swift action to revise this decision the disillusioned staff will leave in droves and there won’t be a health service to get us through the next pandemic. After all the billions of pounds found to support others through this crisis it’s now time to find monies to award a thoroughly deserved pay rise worthy of all those people you stood and clapped week after week. Act now or loose the faith and respect of those who got so many through this crisis including the prime minister and cared for the 125,000+ who sadly did not go home. Don’t let the NHS down, they didn’t let you down!
Why is this important?
It is time to recognise the NHS staff for their dedication in what has been the most challenging of years which will reverberate for many years to come. Recovering from the pandemic will require unrelenting dedication and hard work. Send them to work feeling valued and respected whilst supported by a pay rise truly reflecting the appreciation and recognition of the impact the services have on our nation
