This campaign is important as homelessness is a major issue in society, which affects a wide variety of people. People who are homeless are most often unable to acquire and maintain regular, safe, secure and adequate housing.

In addition to this there are many different causes of homelessness, such as a lack of affordable housing, domestic violence or abuse causing them to leave home, poverty and unemployment; and life events which cause individuals to become homeless.

Furthermore people who are homeless are often at risk of infectious diseases so providing them with shelters would protect them and keep them safe.
