Hold Banks and bankers accountable
We want the events leading to the banking crisis of 2008 to be investigated and any individuals or organisations involved in criminal acts to be brought to justice. A full public inquiry held open to scrutiny with full investigatory powers is essential. Where institutional crime is proven that has cost the tax payer money then restitution should be sought. Where individuals have committed crimes they should be prosecuted.
Regulatory measures to prevent future abuses and disasters should be formulated and presented to parliament.

Why is this important?
It is important for the people of this country to know that no one is above the law. The current situation where the tax payer is bailing out the financial institutions is intolerable. How did banks end up selling and purchasing unsustainable mortgages if no fraud was committed.
