Let Heacham Villagers Visit Their Beach

We need the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk to rescind their decision and return the prices of the Heacham beach residents car park seasonal permit to last year's tariffs.

They have hiked the cost by more than 100% to park in an unkempt grassy area full of potholes to £121.60 for just eight months of the year.

Why is this important?

Many of the locals can't afford the new prices. This will mean that many of the elderly and disabled people of Heacham who can't walk far will no longer be able to use the beach at all, as it's a long walk for the majority of the village. The beach is crucial to some for mental health reasons.
I feel that this is discrimination against the elderly and disabled.

We already have a problem with beach traffic parking illegally and irresponsibly, this will only get worse  with more people not being able to use the carpark and will have a negative effect on those living closer to the beach.

Stopping villagers from accessing the beach is a line that the council must not cross.
