Make Coalition Vote Buying in the House of Commons Illegal
Give us an Early day motion (EDM): That it should be unconstitutional and illegal for any MP, or group of MPs, to make offer or reward any particular region or constituency above other regions or constituencies, for the purposes of securing a majority coalition vote in a close or hung parliament.
Why is this important?
This appeal is important, because we have witnessed a political party use the countries money, to reward one particular region above others to secure a voting majority in the house of commons. This practice is immoral and should be considered unconstitutional and illegal in a modern democracy.
