Make reselling of tickets above face value Illegal
We want UK legislation to go further than just banning touts from using bots to buy tickets on mass. We want a blanket ban on websites selling tickets on for more than face value.
Why is this important?
There are genuine fans of music etc and those who love to support smaller venues across the UK. It is vital that fair access is given to those who intend to show up to venues and support their local band through buying of merchandise and music. It is equally important that the local venue benefit from the sales of drinks etc at their premises. Ticket touts and secondary selling websites are a plague that prevent genuine music lovers from attending their preferred venue and concerts. Or rather attending the venue for the price originally stated and not breaking the bank. Mostly ordinary working people go to these shows and most do not have the income to fork out for tickets with a huge mark up.
