Pedestrian crossing for school kids

There have been multiple accidents outside Outwood Academy woodlands (Great North Road).

It’s 40mph outside of a school.

There needs to be a safer way for kids to cross the road when coming out of school.

There needs to be lights or a pedestrian crossing and looking into speed changing. This isn’t the first time and if things don’t change it won’t be the last.

Make outside the schools more safe.

Why is this important?

There have been a lot a fatalities and seriously life changing accidents on the road outside the school. It leads to a busy main road and it’s important our kids are safe and there’s something in place so they can cross the road as there are no lights not crossing and no lollipop lady/man.

As we know there’s been another accident involving a young lad been air lifted to a&e .
