Release or resentence ISSP prisoners
Resentence or release time served I SSP prisoners some of whom were given as little as 3month I SSP sentence back in 2005 when this flawed law was introduced. This type of sentence has cost millions of pounds and lives and split families up even after the rules were changed and then was abolished thousands of men and women are still stuck in prison because they can't get released for different reasons
Why is this important?
Aswell as the financial cost of keeping someone in prison and all the other associated costs it is inhumane not to know if you will ever get out not to be able to tell your children when mummy or daddy can come home the punishment passes like a ripple effect through the family
