Save Bristol's Libraries
The Greens and Lib Dems have put forward a budget proposal to cut Bristol’s libraries budget by up to £2.4m - out of a £4.7m budget. These cuts would lead to the closure of over half our city’s libraries – that will be devastating for local communities and cannot be allowed to go ahead.
We, the undersigned, call on the Greens and the Liberal Democrats to save our libraries and abandon their funding cuts.

Why is this important?
Libraries provide a crucial service to the city, not least for the worst-off. Our valued community spaces need to be protected and invested in.
Libraries need more investment, not less.
