Save our Island of Sark from Chief Pleas

We citizens of Sark in the Channel Isles are asking you Elizabeth Truss
to help and protect us against the destructive and neglectful practices of our unelected unqualified Chief Pleas Government .

These people have no mandate to govern and didn't face the electorate .

We are asking you to suspend these unelected people and their "Chief Pleas Government" immediately .

Why is this important?

We have seen our population dwindle from over 600 people in 2010 to around 420 people in 2017.Whole families with young children have been forced to leave the Island to seek work elsewhere.
There is widespread discrimination in the workplace towards anyone who has dared to openly criticise Government members or fails to toe the one party line.
We have a collapsed economy and outside investors reluctant to invest in our Island due to anti business attiudes of our Government
Many older people and younger families cannot afford the expensive private medical insurance required by all who live in Sark
Most of us have no access to legal aid or representation .
We have no professional police force or customs officers leaving us wide open to the infiltration of criminals and terrorists .
We have unqualified Judges and Constables with no legal training,
We have no independent complaints authority to complain against the actions of these people in authority.
Elizabeth Truss most of us are British citizens the same as yourself but you refuse to acknowledge our plight or help us.
And guess what we are not thousands of miles away in a far off land but just approx 170 miles from your Westminster office

I have been trying to make a complaint against the former carpenter /chief of police/son of the islands unqualified judge and Douzaine committee member for over a year now.
At present the only option open to me regarding my complaint is through the Douzaine committee who will meet behind closed doors and decide the outcome.
One of the members of the committee who will decide the outcome of my complaint is the very same person i wish to make the complaint against.You couldnt make it up.
Please sign the petition and help us to rid the Island of these sinister antiquated laws and practices.thankyou

There is no independent police complaints panel.Any complaints have to be directed to an unelected group of poiticians called the Douzaine committee.
Non of the members of this committee have any experience of policing at a proffessional level.
Non of the members of this committee have any legal experience or training.The son of the Judge is a carpenter who was formerly made chief of police by the same committee.
The son of the judge is now also a member of this committee.

The Island of Sark has no proffessional police force.
Its only judge is a crane driver with no proper legal training or experience .
The "Judge" sits alone and rules on all cases by himself.
Unlike the UK there is no one in the Court with any legal qualifications or experience to advise him.
There is no legal aid system in Sark.Anyone seeking legal aid has to apply to Guernsey.
