Stop closure of Deerpark surgery
Stop the closure of Deerpark surgery. It would mean the other 3 surgeries in witney would be even more unable to cope. Especially as the building of another1,000 houses is already in progress thus creating 6,000 patients to be included into the Deerpark surgery with all of the 4,500 already there. This will cause huge chaos and lack of care for all the surgeries in Witney.
Why is this important?
There is no public transport to the other surgeries meaning elderly/disabled patients unable to attend unless prepared to pay £14 for a taxi. The other surgeries are already struggling with their list and finding GPs to fill positions. Right now it's 3-4 weeks wait for an appointment there which will only increase when 10,000 patients are added to their lists.
