Stop freemasons from being public servants
I want a law to be passed that prevents any public servant (including any civil servant) from holding office if he or she is a freemason. Such a stuation raises many conflicts of interest and can mean that our country and even local council planning departments are at times run by people who put business interests above the will of the people they are supposed to serve.
Why is this important?
The Freemasons is a semi-secret organisation and its objectives are anti-democratic. Its existence seems to be one reason why so many political decisions prioritise business interests (i.e: privatisations etc). Also, local councillors and planners enable developments to be built that are against the public interest. Since any public servant's job is to serve the people, such a membership is a direct threat to democracy.
