We owe Jamaica
We are UK citizens.
We recognise that much of our country's wealth was founded on slavery and exploitation.
We apologise to the people of Jamaica on behalf of our ancestors and our country.
We support the reparations campaign. We want our government to formally apologise, and to compensate the victims of slavery and colonialism.

Why is this important?
Jamaican campaigners and parliamentarians are calling on the UK government to apologise for Britain's role in the Atlantic Slave Trade and colonial theft, and to contribute reparations to help tackle the lasting damage that slavery and colonialism have done.
