Alex Pollok is a well known figure in Dunoon and surrounding area for many, many years. He has compered and performed many times in the Queens Hall over the years, and should be person to open the hall when it reopens at end of July.

To keep our street residents and children safe

It is important to retain the use of the hall for all members of the Community. Re-building it half the size will exclude anyone who needs a reasonable space for their events.

Communit facilities are regularly taken away from South of the Borough, whilst the money is transferred to the North. Most of the South is designated as a deprived area.

We have serious concern about the unethical nature of The Real Bodies: The exhibition, currently on display in Hall 4, NEC Birmingham. The exhibition displays 20 human corpses and over 200 body specimens, including a pregnant woman complete with her unborn baby in the womb, and foetuses from 10 weeks to 32 weeks gestation. The organiser, Imagine Exhibitions Inc., has not been transparent about the origins of the specimens and is reported to not have valid consent documentation from the deceased and/or their families. Until such documentation is provided, we can’t in good conscience expose our children and the community to such an immoral and base commercial exploitation of the deceased. We urge an immediate shut down of the exhibition and a thorough investigation into any breaches of the UK legislative and/or legal guidelines associated with this macabre display. Please sign our petition to help to stop the unethical exhibition. ################################################### Background: 1. It is our understanding that the presenters have not been able to provide valid documentation to prove the bodies' origins, according to the Newscorp report dated April 10. The same inability to provide appropriate documentation was reported during the 2017 exhibition in Prague and Slovakia. 2. Investigative reports have pointed to the questionable origin of the bodies — a large amount of which were created by a university in Dalian, China — suggesting that the cadavers came from executed political prisoners and dissenters. It is important to note that the German weekly Der Spiegel cited the inventor of plastination, Gunther Von Hagens, that the bodies from Dalian were “very fresh”, a criteria that is preferred in the plastination process. In accordance with China’s law a body can be classified as “unclaimed” if it remains in the morgues for 30 days – a duration too long for the plastination process to be successful. 3. In 2010, France’s highest court, the French Supreme Court declared the commercial exhibition of human remains illegal, effectively closing down all such exhibits. Two years later, the Israeli Supreme Court issued a similar ruling. Hawaii banned the shows, as did city councils in Seattle and elsewhere. 4. China’s track record of abuse in the area of organ transplantation has been well documented by governments, media and independent investigators. The grossly unethical Bodies exhibits are believed to be closely linked to these prolific abuses, where similarly vulnerable populations and prisoners of conscience have been reported to be unwilling "donors". The latest evidence compiled in the 2016 report by David Kilgour, Ethan Guttman, and David Matas indicates that China performs up to 100,000 transplants a year, while having a very underdeveloped public donation scheme.

Litter and waste is a severe problem in Cornwall. The majority of waste left out for bin collections gets attacked by animals or birds. Cornwall is a beautiful county, which is trying hard via many volunteer groups to keep litter out of our rivers and ultimately the sea. I belong to the Bude Rubbish Action Group, (BRAG), who meet regularly to clear our lovely town of litter. BRAG also educates our community how to deal correctly with waste and litter. The use of wheelie bins would have a massive impact on the problem of waste being blown around our streets. With huge amounts of waste and plastic finding its way into our oceans, I feel the Government and local councils should act immediately. Please provide us with wheelie bins.

Large industrial units are spoiling the natural landscape of many towns and villages. Too often beautiful vistas are ruined by these ugly structures. If constructors were enforced to ensure the units made the minimum impact, then at least we are doing something to help this cause. In addition, if we can go as far as having living walls and roofs, then that would have an added benefit to the ecosystem. These simple changes shouldn't really have a huge impact on the construction cost.

I have grown up in Willesden Green and fully welcome the rising standard of our high street. But I think we can do more to improve the high street and make it a community destination - not a passage way. The Social was created and run by a Willesden Green born and bred, young female entrepreneur, Niamh Walshe Bride. Not only does she employee local people, but she has built the venue into a comfortable, safe place for the community to meet and grow. Niamh and the Social won a Brent Residents Recognition Award in 2017 and now Niamh now wants to start a new cultural and music venue at 17 Walm Lane. This will be a great way to help Willesden make the most of the night-time economy and the 24 hour tube. And there will there will be people out in Willesden when people are coming home, making the streets safer. So please help support the license of a new inclusive bar of high standard in our neighbourhood and support our own home grown young entrepreneurs.

The vital benefit within my local area to attract people to discover and appreciate the natural environment is great for locals and protecting the beautiful picturesque which we should not take for granted.

1 in 3 of us will suffer with a mental health issue in our lives. Whether it be depression, eating disorders, body dismorphia, suicidal feelings or stuggling to cope with life on a daily basis, yet we are not given any advice or lessons in schools to learn coping strategies or how to spot an issue and help others. We have sex education, but not education on how to cope with a relationship break up, we learn about nutrition, but not about how to spot someone who is abusing themselves with food. We need to teach our children how to cope if they or their friends, family need help.

The North Coast 500 is being widely promoted without the local infrastructure being improved to cope with the extra demand.

The pedestrian crossings need urgent review in Plumstead. There are limited, inadequate and in some places non-existent safety measures in place for pedestrians to cross very dangerous roads. As an example Swingate Lane, Garland Road (by the slade), Kings Highway to name just a few. This is an urgent request to review road safety as a priority. Many very dangerous roads are located near primary schools which the council provides lolipop people however this is not adequate for the residents and elderly who need to cross these roads every day. Some of our aging and frail residents prefer not leave home due to fear of the roads.
