New government funding plans threaten to dismantle our life-saving national network of refuges and put the lives of women and children trying to escape domestic abuse at risk. A Women’s Aid survey of refuge services showed that the proposed new model of funding could force over half of refuges responding to close or reduce their provision - resulting in 4000 more women and children turned away from the lifesaving services they desperately need. Already there are not enough refuge spaces to meet demand; data from Women’s Aid shows that 60% of total referrals to refuges were declined in 2016/17. When on average two women a week are killed by a partner or ex partner across England and Wales the stakes could not be higher. Under the new plans, rent money which would have in the past gone straight to domestic violence refuges would instead go to local authorities - effectively forcing refuges to compete for funding with other local services. Refuge managers have warned “if the plans get implemented it will be the end of domestic violence refuges." If the train is stopped, then people who travel pass Blackfiars would have to find another means of transportation due to there no longer being a service (unless you change). This would extend their already lengthy journey time. This could also lead to job losses and could also effect Elstree Studios. This will effect commuters.

This is important for the local buskers and for the community as a whole. with the ever expanding and growing town and ever increasing population comes art and culture. Buskers do a good job of entertaining the public and providing light entertainment generally in a professional and pleasant manner. Some of the buskers in Telford, of which maybe 10 are regular, rely on their busing monies to support them in their daily lives. Food, Water, Electric.. the essentials. It also has farther reaching benefits amongst those who struggle with mental health difficulties who use busking as a way to interact with the community where otherwise they wouldn't. This 'LAW' is designed to remove art and culture and to shut down buskers from being heard. it is supression of the arts for the benefit of big business.

There have been two major accidents on this stretch of the A6 in the past few weeks - so severe that air ambulances were required. Drivers routinely speed on this narrow stretch of road, a hazard which is exacerbated suicidally by their tendency to use the right-hand turning reservation into Park Lane (MK44 1LX) for overtaking, and the almost total lack of visibility from the Templars Way junction (MK44 1PZ) leftward, owing to vegetation and crash barriers, when trying to cross the dual carriageway to turn right. In addition, supercar events and similar gatherings at the Sharnbrook Hotel regularly result, despite the hotel's best efforts in putting up warning signage and safety tape, in fast cars using this stretch of the A6 (as well as surrounding residential roads) as their personal racetrack. There *will* be death on this stretch of road if the relevant agency does not act decisively to slow the traffic down and to ensure that those who persist in driving irresponsibly are systematically caught, fined, and, if necessary, banned.

There is high parking demand in the Surrenden area. Within easy walking distance of the main A23 and Preston Park Station, non-resident commuters have parked for free in local streets for many years. Around 7,000 pupils and staff attend local schools. The recent implementation of controlled parking zones in nearby streets has added significantly to these pressures by displacing large numbers of non-resident commuter, commercial and recreational vehicles seeking long-stay parking from streets elsewhere in Brighton. Parking for local residents is now very hard to find. Pedestrians and school children are placed at risk, crossing busy roads between high-sided vehicles and finding corners, crossings, ramps and corners obscured by poorly parked cars. Action needs to be taken soon.

Keeps the kids off the streets and out of trouble and keeps them happy and have a public track round the area

Sign the petition to show Blackpool council that they should allow homeless people to take shelter in Blackpool Foyer during the winter season.Homelessness in Blackpool is getting higher and higher, and there are 38 empty flats that are clearly available. For three years now the Blackpool Foyer has been closed,which has 38 flats that can be used to accommodate young homeless people between the age of 16 to 24 during the winter season.The Blackpool Foyer can be very useful over the winter period rather than an empty building with no purpose. I seriously think Blackpool Council should be considering using the building to help the homeless in partnership with Great Places Housing Group and other organisations.

Dunstable is a historic market town and the charter belongs to the people not the council. We, the people wish to preserve our market and return it to the thriving trade centre it used to be. Generations of traders have kept the tradition alive and they are central to our community. This isn't about money, it is about the ethos of Dunstable as a market town. We demand that the council fulfil the will of the people and preserve the market in its current format and work to promote it and attract new traders.

The Government is planning a roll out of Urgent Treatment Centres across the country. Corby's Urgent Care Centre is equipped with most of the components of an Urgent Treatment Centre so would cost less than any other option available to the STP. Corby CCG have confirmed that change is needed in the area and this would assist in bringing about this change.

To all those who want safer roads, to all those who love walking, cycling, sightseeing and living in the lower Wye Valley and to all those who are fed up of seeing reckless drivers using rural village roads like motorways, please sign this petition. Currently drivers travelling through Llandogo can break the speed limit, driving at whatever speed they want, when they want. And they do. We have the data. Vehicles have been logged by Llandogo Community Speed Watch driving 60-70mph. Drivers even overtake other vehicles in the 40 and 30mph zones in order to maintain their high speeds! We are the only village on the A466 not to have prominent road signs or any traffic calming. Even villages on surrounding B roads have better measures with rumble strips, driver feedback signs, pedestrian crossings and islands. For some reason though, Llandogo does have yellow lines preventing parking roadside at weekends, when other villages are unrestricted and their parked cars serve to slow traffic further. Speeding was identified as the No.1 concern for Llandogo residents in a recent community consultation, but because the village is not an 'accident hot spot' Llandogo has been completely overlooked by the authorities. The sad truth is, the community is being impacted 24/7 and it's not positive. As traffic speeds, intensity and road noise have all increased the residents have had to adapt, changing their behaviour and curtailing activities they once enjoyed, such as walking, cycling, running, even gardening and playing games; health-boosting, sustainable activities. Crossing the road on foot can be intimidating, especially for the elderly and the young heading to the school and bus stops. Well used footpaths end abruptly at the road edge with dangerously little visibility for both walker and driver. Pets are regularly killed or maimed on the road. Manoeuvring out of driveways is often met with aggression from speeding drivers and close misses are too common. Local people actually fear to cycle on this road. A serious road traffic accident in Llandogo this summer involved an Air Ambulance evacuation of a cyclist from the village green. Cyclists and pelotons are often cut up by speeding drivers taking risks. Speeding and aggression on the A466 is a constant topic raised by tourists to Llandogo. If we do nothing it will only get worse. Please sign this petition to make Llandogo a safer and more pleasant place for the local community, for visitors and for all road users.
