To plead to Bradford Council to open its empty buildings to the homeless in winter. I have slept on the streets myself, in order to raise money to help local churches to do this. While they provide a fantastic service, they only help a fraction of our homeless - there just isn't the room. I cannot imagine sleeping rough in driving, biting winds, snow, ice and winter rain. It's inhumane. It's also inexcusable when we have so many empty buildings. I'm not asking for permanent shelters; just somewhere warm and dry for our homeless to sleep in winter. Please sign this petition. Tag the friends you feel would like to see this. Thank you so much. Charities are doing the best they can, with limited resources and funding cuts. There are many empty buildings that can be offered, purely for winter shelter. Maybe these places can also then be used to facilitate targeted help to those in need of it - for support, help with housing, health care, advice and general care. Charities' resources could be used for support rather than spending their resources on providing the actual shelters. This is a necessary resource and if we pull together en masse we have more than a great chance of being an influence.

Air pollution from road traffic causes tens of thousands of people every year in the UK to die prematurely. Children's health is suffering too. Norwich has several air pollution hotspots. These include Castle Meadow, where diesel buses contribute to unsafe air quality. Signing the petition below would put pressure on Norfolk County Council to promote clean green buses. 5,000 signatures are needed to trigger a debate by a Full Norfolk County Council meeting. As the local transport authority, Norfolk County Council can influence the emissions standard of bus vehicles run by private bus companies; for example it can specify bus vehicle standards: - when letting Park and Ride contracts - in providing bus priority measures - by creating low emissions zones. This super hub which you have created may work for parcels or pizza delivery but we are talking here about peoples’ lives. This is one result of your vision for the future of all hospitals... 120 mile emergency round trip passing Berwick, Alnwick, Ashington and Cramlington Hospitals. This is a fact which can be verified by the Ambulance service. The Ambulance service uses a TerraFix system. It is a sat. nav. which logs the location and time of every ambulance in the North East. We had just cleared at your new super-hospital in Cramlington and got a shout to a sick baby. Driving in fog up the A1 on blues and twos 60 miles north to Berwick hospital. The infant was in a hospital with a mild case of croup. The Berwick hospital could not cope and wanted the child to be seen at Cramlington. We blue lighted the infant to Cramlington and fortunately arrived before 11 o'clock because paediatric A & E closes at 11. If the call had been life threatening we would have had to continue an extra 20 minutes to Newcastle. This must raise several serious questions. My main question is to Jeremy Hunt and Sir Bruce Keogh: If this was your child with meningitis, would you be happy with this service? A 2 hour stretcher wait before even being booked in? This is happening NOW. This is a fact which can be verified by the ambulance service TerraFix system. Thinking about the "Golden Hour", so crucial to stroke patients. This is your NHS. I am very deaf and rely on subtitling to make sense of what I am seeing. Generally speaking my complaint is aimed at recorded programmes in which subtitles are sometimes so far out of synchronicity, or simply absent for such long periods, that action on screen is over long before the words appear. Many channels appear not to use subtitling at all. I usually cannot watch them.

Where else can current issues and delights be shared and explained in an intelligent and balanced way?

Having a job and earning a decent wage is a necessity if we as a society are going to address some of the biggest concerns facing our generation. Poverty has a devastating effect on families across Scotland and in-work poverty has no place in the 21st century. There is no excuse for low-pay, when time and time again it has been shown to be not only an ineffective means of employment, but also a hindrance on long-term sustainable economic growth. Low wages result in poorer services, higher staff turnover, increased absences from work and a lower quality of life for staff stuck in low pay. We have not only an opportunity, but a responsibility, to tackle poverty and eradicate the blight it puts on people’s lives once and for all. Addressing low pay will not put an end to hardship overnight, as it is only part of a much wider and more complex picture of social justice, but it is a start, and it should be our goal to achieve it.

Mental health services were reduced disproportionately - Art psychotherapy - one of the core mental health services was closed down without adequate measures put in place to substitute the gap in services.

Frizington fire Station has by some reports up to 80 call outs a year. Whitehaven retained fire station and Egremont would not adequately cover Frizington's area which includes Cleator Moor and outlying villages towards Cockermouth. The closure would leave a very large area with inadequate cover. Closure would be a mistake and would put the lives of West Cumbrian people at risk.

The devolution deals in Greater Manchester have been done behind closed doors and local people cannot be confident that the new deals will work for them. For example, many healthcare professionals are very concerned about the impact on health services and social care in the region, with impending, severe cuts on the way to Council funding. But the 'northern powerhouse' revolution also has an opportunity to be an inspiration for cities all over the UK - if the devolution process takes place in a truly transparent and democratic way that delivers real social, environmental, economic and democratic benefits in the genuine best interests of the many. That is not what is currently happening and needs to change fast! If the new devolved powers are to work for the people of Greater Manchester, local people must be the drivers of devolution, not the passengers. It must be driven by the people, not by small cliques in central government and City Halls.

The construction of the Norwich Northern Distributor Road (NDR) from Postwick to Norwich Airport will cost over £133 million, with UK taxpayers funding £88 million via the Department for Transport. However local councils intend to spend at least a further £45 million of Norfolk taxpayers’ money to extend the road by 4 miles to the A1067 - a double-whammy for Norfolk residents. This at a time when budgets for the emergency services, health and social care, libraries, museums and education are being slashed. This is socially, financially and environmentally reckless. Please sign this petition to urge the council to put people before roads.

We need an improvement to this service and not for it to be downgraded any more, this is important because the population of the surrounding area takes in members of the public when they need the use of this service. We also demand the sexual health clinic be reinstated to New Addington as we have the biggest unplanned teenage pregnancy in London. So where is the logic in shutting the service then telling everyone to go to Croydon thus increasing the foot full to C U H.

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) and Black & Minority Ethnic (BME) communities who are also HIV+ are highly vulnerable communities suffering from multiple forms of stigma and oppression. Skyline offers a safe environment where these essentially invisible individuals can be supported holistically through a whole range of physio-psycho-social issues. Without this service they will be further isolated having to negotiate the trauma that is an HIV diagnosis, alone.
