• Ban Dangerous Pesticides in Coventry
The use of glyphosates has already been banned or restricted in 8 countries. It is not acceptable that ourselves, our children and the animals we share our community with are being routinely exposed to these chemicals whether we like it or not. This is a matter of great importance for those of us who care about each other's health and the health of our children, our cats, our dogs and all the flora and fauna of this city, of course including our beloved bees. • Better Perinatal Mental Healthcare for Women in Northern Ireland
    - Research released last year revealed a staggering 80% of areas in Northern Ireland have no specialist perinatal mental health services and there is no specialist inpatient mother and baby unit in the whole of Ireland. - In addition to the devastating consequences to the woman, untreated illness can have adverse effects on child development and long-term outcomes. - There is also a heavy economic cost of perinatal mental illness to our society and public services. Research released last year shows that the long-term costs to society of perinatal mental illness are more than £8bn for each annual cohort of births in the UK. - Nearly three-quarters of this cost results from the adverse impacts of perinatal mental illness on the child. - The extensive scientific evidence, as well as guidance from Nice and Sign show that this will need to include a new inpatient mother and baby unit and specialist perinatal community teams.

It is not acceptable that ourselves, our children and the animals we share our community with are being routinely exposed to these chemicals whether we like it or not. Falmouth was recently named "The Best Place to Live" in the South West by The Sunday Times. They failed to mention the streets, parks, play areas and some of the schools are doused with health harming poison. • Ban Dangerous Pesticides on the Isle of Wight
The use of toxic glyphosate chemicals in weedkillers has already been banned or restricted in 8 countries. We are extremely concerned that our community, including young children and dogs, and our precious wildlife are being routinely exposed to glyphosate that the World Health Organisation states is 'probably carcinogenic'. You may well be aware that attitudes to wild plants have changed in recent decades and that pristine lawns without wild flowers are now outdated. These plants add colour and interest to our parks. They also serve as indicators of a healthy and safe lawn, both for us and for insect pollinators, especially bees, on whose services we depend for our food. • Stop this shambolic Sussex Ambulance privatisation
On April 1st a woefully-ill-equipped private firm, Coperforma, replaced the NHS’s South East Coast Ambulance Service in a botched privatisation of NHS services. The mobile phone app the company uses often doesn’t work, especially in areas of poor mobile reception and its own ambulance drivers have said the company is ‘out of its depth’. The result? • Cancer patients have missed oncology appointments after ambulances failed to turn up to collect them. • Patients with kidney failure have not been able to receive scheduled sessions of kidney dialysis for the same reason, with some missing two of their three treatments in a week. • So many patients have become stuck at the Royal Sussex County hospital in Brighton because their transport has not arrived that it has paid for taxis and other private vehicle suppliers to take them home. • Staff there have had to stay until midnight to ensure kidney patients arriving hours after their scheduled start time have received vital dialysis. • Coperforma vehicles have turned up to collect patients who have already died. Patients, relatives, NHS bodies, Trade Unions and local MPs have severely criticised the service’s performance but still local CCGs persist with the untenable private company. The previous public provider regularly had approval ratings of over 90%.
