The sudden announcement that Totton, Hampshire Mobility Aids Center should close on the 12th October 2018 demonstrates a complete disregard for every local resident. The idea of a Mobility Aids Center is to assist those people most in need. I know personally how difficult it is to obtain such resources. Already there are severe limitations to Patient Transport, Community Transport. Being forced to travel to "selected destinations" will instantly be out of reach for local residents affected by the "change. Due to mobility restrictions of residents Fording-bridge and Lymington is impossible and definitely impracticable for the overwhelming majority. Visiting the Mobillity Aid Location in Totton has been my last resort and have been using the service for the past 15 months. Hampshire County Council have a duty of care for her residents. To allow closure is not the answer or a reasonable adjustment. What is certain Geoff Chesire "refuses to acknowledge people in crisis" This can not be ignored. Thank you everyone for your support.

The closure of this provision will have a detrimental effect on the health and wellbeing of parents in the area. It is the only creche facility for excercise in Clevedon. For many parents this is the only time they are able to exercise as they have no-one else to look after their children. Exercise for parents is especially important to help combat depression, regain fitness and lose excess weight after pregnancy and for some it is the only time they get to themselves in the day and it’s a good time to build up a social group. Added to this the creche workers who have cared for children for years at strode will be made redundant.

The Scottish Government have continually requested for drug policy control to be devolved to Holyrood from Westminster, which would enable them to introduce their own policies. They have been told NO every time because our pain and suffering is worth far too much to the politicians in Westminster who continue to control cannabis with unfair laws for their own personal gain. We are having to stand by and watch the UK boast at being the biggest distributer of cannabis medicine in the world while they tell us it has no medicinal value. We need the Scottish Government to take the lead and stand up to these politicians in Westminster not just for the people of Scotland, but for every person in the United Kingdom who is suffering at the hands of the cruel and unfair laws that are currently being used to control cannabis. If Scotland make the change the rest will have to follow. Access to cannabis clubs and decriminalisation of home growing is essential and what we need the Scottish Government to introduce immediately. There are hundreds of clubs already operating in the United Kingdom giving vulnerable people a friendly and safe place to learn about, and access fully tested cannabis from others who have vast experience and knowledge on the subject. WE HAVE THE ATTENTION OF THE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT AND THEY ARE HEARING US LOUD AND CLEAR. Lets show them how much we want and need this, don't just sign your name leave a comment too. When construction company Carillion went bust earlier this year, work on our new hospital stopped. Right now people in Liverpool are without the world-class healthcare they were promised. Now we need the government to step in and finish the job. We need some joined up working on this, not political posturing. We currently have a half completed state of the art hospital standing empty while patients are being treated and cared for in the old hospital. Witnessing how our existing facilities continue to be patched up to provide as decent a service as possible, it becomes more apparent that the make do and mend approach is no longer workable. A new 'almost complete' facility is only several hundred meters away. A conversation I had with members of staff this week highlights how frustrated they are at the lack of progress and how difficult it is to explain temporary change to many patients, particularly the elderly. All we want is what was promised, a clean, safe hospital fit for the 21st century. The Government have announced they will fund the completion of the failed Carillion build hospital in the Midlands, they should do the same for the people of Liverpool too. A coordinated approach to funding and completing the building needs to be a priority for the Government.

Approximately 700,000 people in the UK provide UNPAID care for a loved one with Dementia, saving the Government £11.6 BILLION each year. ... Without these unpaid carers, the UK care system would collapse, leaving millions in crisis. Yet when these carers find THEMSELVES in crisis, they are routinely told that somebody will respond to them in 5 - 10 days or that respite care is unavailable due to a lack of funding. Alzheimer's Society reported these facts as far back as 2014 and yet the situation continues to deteriorate. ... And with the number of people living with Dementia expected to exceed 1 million by 2021, things are set to deteriorate further still. The swimming pool is part of Drumchapel history and community children, parents and grand parents go there regularly. It is unacceptable and therefore closure will not be accepted. Swimming is a life skill; we must ensure that our children are given a chance to learn to swim. What is important is that it is not only a sport but can save someone from drowning which is the most common of accidental deaths in children. Swimming is also important for the elderly or infirm to be able exercise without straining joints. Swimming is important for rehabilitation and physiotherapy. Glasgow life have also started charging nursery school children and OAPs which could have been avoided. Drumchapel is one of the most deprived areas in Europe; the swimming pool is the only publicly funded facility which the entire family can enjoy together.

Special Guardianship holders are often forced to give up their jobs or reduce hours to care for their children due to the children's behavioural difficulties caused by the trauma of their early lives. Currently special guardianship allowance is set by guidelines instead of legislation. This means many families live in poverty as local authorities often pay nothing. Government legislation would ensure special guardianship families are financially supported equally instead of the unfair system we have now, in which many families are given little or nothing. Of those families that are lucky enough to receive something, this is often stopped after a period of two years leaving them in financial difficulties. Special guardianship allowance should be paid until the child reaches adulthood. The cost of keeping a child in care may be as much as £70,000 annually, so surely it is better to support special guardians with a realistic financial package to ensure special guardianship does not break down due to financial stress, thus saving millions in the long run.

The Fife Health and Social Care Partnership want to close the Primary Care Emergency Service (GP out of hours) run from St. Andrews Hospital. They propose to move the service to Kirkcaldy. . Local GPs say that the proposed new service represents an unacceptable loss of local service that will threaten patient safety and impact most profoundly on our elderly patients and on families with children. As a result of the distance involved in having to travel to Kirkcaldy to access services, North East Fife patients will be the most significantly affected by these proposed changes. In addition our community hospitals and palliative care units will be left without local medical cover during the out of hours period.
