Save Old Haymarket, LiverpoolThe pollution and noise from a rotating stock of 12 busses would dramatically reduce the quality of life of people that live and work around Old Haymarket, an oasis in the centre of Liverpool. The car park currently averages over £100,000 a year in takings and we as a city blighted by Government cuts cannot afford that. Two mature trees would be removed. LCC claims that more new trees will be planted but they have a proven track record of not fulfilling similar promises. Old Haymarket/Manchester St used to be derelict and dangerous - it is now a thriving community because residents and businesses moved there. This oasis in the city will be destroyed. Eight businesses, including a hotel, and hundreds of residents will now be expected to share a loading space for two vehicles. People will lose their jobs and property prices will be affected. The car park is part of the curtilage of a Grade II listed building, the fantastic Queensway Tunnel entrance. Not appropriate for vehicles weighing up to 80,000 kilograms (176,370 lb) to be driving around and polluting and certainly not in keeping with the surroundings of the structure or that of the UNESCO World Heritage Site it sits in.506 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Old Haymarket

Scrap the Western Relief Road/Hereford BypassThis is the follow on from the Southern Link Road, which was always a stealth precursor to the bypass plans. We will be updating this with more info in the coming days, meanwhile tell all your friends and relatives to get on board with this new campaign specially if your property is affected. Highways England have said "under current guidance the building of new road infrastructure could only be justified in policy terms when other avenues such as travel planning and sustainable travel modes had been developed and shown not to address the transport needs and issues identified" (2014). Following public consultation in 2017, Herefordshire Council acknowledged that "improving pedestrian and cycling routes were a priority" for respondents, and that "more reliable and quicker bus journeys were among the top five improvements that should be made a priority in Hereford". One may legitimately ask why they are not acting on this feedback. They obviously have a different agenda that doesn't fit with the electorate's views. We have been aware of the presence of way too many traffic light controls which rather than facilitating smooth transit around the city, are badly timed to seemingly snarl the city traffic on a daily basis ... 18 sets of lights on one junction being the perfect illustration of our point, and if you're a pedestrian you need to be amazingly nimble ... not a city for the weak and slow. We also doubt there is anyone out there who believes this next item was a right way to behave ... Apologies don't cut it when people's homes and lives are at stake. PEOPLE living on the proposed routes of Hereford’s new bypass were not given notice that their houses could be demolished. Many of the residents living on Kings Acre Road only discovered their homes were in the firing line of the western bypass when they saw reports in the Hereford Times or were told by neighbours. http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/15998820.Hereford_residents_left_in_the_dark_about_proposed_bypass_through_their_street/1,829 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by John Perkins

Fix The A83 road Surface and pretty much every other road In Argyll and ButeFor everyone living, working and commuting in argyll and bute, the A83 is a very large part of it. But the state of it needs fixing ASAP before people start to needlessly die as a result. It may sound a bit harsh but it is the truth. Even the road outside my house has 6 potholes in it, which is just a fraction of the total amount on fairly small road. The A83 is over 100 miles of running a gauntlet. The Government have already stated that they are going to reduce the budget for road repairs over the coming years when we still have over £1 billion back log of repairs. I have personally almost died on this treacherous road and I have lost count of how many accidents have happened. It is now at a point where something needs to be done before incidents occur that could have been avoided. We need as many signatures as possible to get this to Parliament and a minimum of 10,000. Lets make the difference1,123 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Kevin Dunn

Stop the closure of Whitdale family centreThe Whitdale family centre is set to be closed by the Local West Lothian council due to budget cuts. This centre has helped hundreds of families to overcome issues they battle with in their everyday life. It helps them to build positive relationships and receive vital support while they spend time away from isolation. The centre also provides support for children's early education and helps many young children to build positive relationships with their families and peers. The nursery provides that extra help for a child to move on to education like nursery and primary school, helping them with positive behaviour and development. We are asking as many people as possible to help us by signing this petition, asking the council to not take the family centre away from vulnerable people. If enough of us sign this petition, we can show the council that this service should not be cut.325 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Galina Keay

A590 Action for Safety - Backbarrow and Haverthwaite1. The pedestrian refuge at Backbarrow, although offering some protection and enables pedestrians to cross one half of the road at a time, it’s a place where people are very vulnerable with traffic roaring past at 60mph. Pedestrians are still at considerable risk of injury or death should a vehicle collide with it whilst they stand there waiting to cross. There have been at least two occasions in the past where vehicles have crashed into it, luckily no-one has been standing there at the time. 2. 60mph is far too fast, and we’re concerned that drivers are currently exceeding the national speed limit. Cameras need to be installed to enforce the new speed limit of 40 mph. 3. The pavements. particularly at Backbarrow are very narrow and pedestrians are forced to walk close to passing traffic which practically brush their shoulders, suck them in and blow them out again as they whoosh past - 60mph is far too fast. It only takes 30 seconds more to travel at 40 mph on the one mile stretch between Haverthwaite and Backbarrow. 4. The dual carriageway section at Haverthwaite is dangerous because it encourages drivers to increase their speed and take risks where there are junctions and bends to be negotiated. 5. Current lighting and signage is inadequate and drivers aren’t aware of the junctions and crossings in place. Pedestrians and drivers put their lives at risk every day. It’s time to take action and make improvements before someone else is seriously injured or killed. We believe our proposals, are not unreasonable. 6. The community of Backbarrow are deeply saddened and angry that there’s been yet another incident recently which has cut short the life of a well liked, lovely friend and neighbour. Without the reduction in the speed limit to 40mph and the other changes we are proposing, there will be further incidents and loss of life – it’s only a matter of time.451 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Catherine Wandzel

Resurface pot-holed roads in RossendaleRoad access and road travel is important - spend some money on positive maintenance of the road surfaces to make leisure and business travel a safer, cheaper and more enjoyable experience. Claims against Lancashire County Council and Rossendale Borough Council due to damage to vehicles because of poorly maintained road surfaces will only increase financial pressures on councils.356 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Jon Edmondson

Say No to parking charges at Lickey HillsLickey Hills was gifted to the people of Birmingham by the Cadbury family so workers could enjoy free access to open spaces. The government want to encourage people to exercise more a d Lickey Hills is a great place to go for walks and family outings. Imposing car park charges will discourage locals and visitors, with a negative impact on the health of the local community and minimal financial gain for the council. This policy is flawed and short sighted2,347 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Richard Pierson

Zebra Crossing at Hampole Way/Westwood Way, Boston Spa High StreetThis junction is notoriously dangerous, and is the natural exit/entrance point both from the Church Fields development and also from the three schools on Westwood Way. Many residents have experienced "near misses" and a child from West Oaks school was struck by a moving vehicle. A zebra crossing needs to be put in place to provide a safer place for pedestrians to cross; it will also serve to punctuate the flow of traffic into the High Street and help to slow down vehicles. Please provide this crossing before there is a really terrible incident.548 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Helene Stone

Save and improve the Lincolnshire Norfolk 505 bus routeFor the young, those unable to drive and people living in quite isolated areas the 505 bus service has become a vital resource. Connecting two busy towns and a great number of small villages and hamlets this vital artery of travel is the only way day to day life can continue. Villages like Fleet, like Gedney arnt serviced by shops and pubs. With no adiquate alternative these small towns will continue to be strangled. Many teenagers in the area at one time used this service for school or for work. This service has become curtailed and trimmed to a level where it is alteady possible for these people to take their first job that would finish at 6pm or later which in turn added pressure on social support services and the wider community. Yes this route should be continued. However, as the lifeblood of our local community should it not be extended to allow our children and non driving people access to work in the major towns of the area. Sign this petition if you feel people have a right to support themselves by working and looking for self improvement opportunities. Sign this petition if you think that bus routes serve the greater community rather than the dividends of shareholders. Sign this petition if you’ve ever finished work in the daylight and still not been able to get a bus home. Actually, I can’t thknk why you wouldn’t sign this petition.550 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Anthony Bowen

Save the Coasthopper Bus ServiceCoasthopper bus service has operated on the Norfolk coast for twenty one years, giving vital connections to allow people to do their shopping or go out seeing friends. The service operates all year round. It must continue to operate with a new bus company not get scrapped. The coasthopper is needed. We can't lose this wonderful reliable bus service, even if Stagecoach don't realise this service is loved and people want to continue to travel on the service! Norfolk Green bus company operated the Coasthopper bus service from 1997. It was founded in 1990 by Tony Haynes. He was a gentleman and knew how to run an excellent bus service. Now after the takeover, stagecoach are proposing to withdraw the Coasthopper bus service completely, as it pulls completely out of Norfolk with the closure of the former Norfolk Green depot in Kings Lynn. This is so sad as Norfolk Green was the best bus company ever. They cared about their customers and gave the best service. So now Tony Haynes' legecy is being destroyed by Stagecoach!11,068 of 15,000 SignaturesCreated by 765 Action Committee Holt Norfolk
