• Give a mother and her children a second chance. DONT BREAK THIS BOND!
The woman I am writing about has been living in the U.K. Since 1998 and has two sons who were both born here, whom she dotes on. She made a mistake which she regrets deeply and has nightmares about over 6 years later. However if anyone was ever a reformed character, she certainly is! She has made massive progress during her sentence, taking courses that enable her to work for the NHS, attending therapeutic programs, finding religion and being a central support figure for other prisoners. It would be significantly emotionally damaging, not only for her friends and family, but most of all for her two young sons. It is a human right to family life. If she were to be deported this would not only breach her right to a family life, it would also take that basic human right away from her two innocent children. No one on this earth is prefect. When given a second chance people can achieve great things. Even though they may have had the odds stacked against them. If you beleive people can change. If you beleive a child deserves a mother and if you appreciate human rights then please sign this petition. Thank you.

  • PLANNING APPLICATION 17/0737
It will have a knock on effect on a number of organisations and churches with the area. The site has always been a commercial one and houses two churches, a nursery and and a restaurant to now have residential properties will mean that the current organisations will be affected and it will cause congestion to the existing road system in the area.

  • Accountablity for rochdale grooming scandals 2007-2012
An independent inquiry is needed because the people of the town and the victims feel that they have been let down. It is clear from evidence supplied that people at the top in the police and council were aware of the situation and neglected to act. These people have either been allowed to resign with pension rights or else carry on in their jobs. We need a full and transparent inquiry into who failed these girls.

  • END ACID VIOLENCE IN THE U.K.
National governments hold the responsibility to introduce and implement law and policies to protect our fundamental human rights in a cosmopolitan city like London. One of the reasons that acid attacks occur is due to cheap and easy availability of acid in the UK. The state has a due diligence obligation to prevent acid violence on our streets by enforcing tighter regulation of acid sales as well as enacting criminal laws to punish perpetrators. Prevention should start at schools by educating and working with youth to promote respectful relationships and gender equality. Research helps us to understand the causes and effects of acid violence to identify practical and feasible solutions to prevent such attacks whilst taking account of the impact this has on our trade and economy as a whole. We are asking for change in policies and laws that strike a fair and reasonable balance to protect the public whilst being considerate of the rights and duties of our traders, but ultimately our core aim is to punish the perpetrators of this callous act and promote a zero tolerance policy.

  • Keep childrens menus in family pubs
Family need to be able to feel comfortable going out their local pubs for a meal. Children will not learn how to behave in public places such as restaurants and pubs if parents feel that they cant take them into such places. Families like to socialise and celebrate special occasions... usually with family meals out... local pubs need this business.

  • Stop insurers 'auto renew' policy
It is bad for customer choice and competition. It can put customers in debt if they are overdrawn at their bank or on their credit card. Customers are entitled to be in control of their own money - not the insurer There is never a reason given when they increase the premium the following year, and just take the money! Some insurers then charge a fee when you cancel and/or when you renew!

  • Change the laws of next of kin status
Until it happened to me I didn't realize after 28 years together the last 12 as my partners full time carer in that 12 years my partners family had no contact with us her mother then took legal advice to prove I wasn't legal next of kin. People who had not even asked how she was or did we need any help for 12 years were her next of kin I had to fight for a portion of her ashes too from my hospital bed where I Was seriously ill with a life threatening illness. As the law currently stands you have to be married or civil partners neither of which we could do because my partner had severe mental health issues, social anxiety syndrome and agoraphobia. I know for a fact a lot of people are in the very same position I am even if you are classed as next of kin on their medical records it means nothing if they die. Also if you split from your husband/wife and do not divorce they are still legally your next of kin and can demand all your possessions even if they were bought by someone else. Also you can end up homeless if the property is in the deceased persons name. Please sign and share this because you never know what is around the corner

  • Get rid of the newly enforced Knife law !
for knife collectors and sword enthusiasts, as well as store owners, it will completely negate are ability to do what we love and own swords, almost all swords are bought online, rarely do you ever see a shop. The law was put in place to prevent knife crime however, knife crime is not stopped by the selling of knives, anyone can obtain a knife regardless of this law, knife crime is stopped by better educating people why its wrong and the consequences behind it. All this law is doing is destroying the historical and modern sword smithing industry for no reason, apart from the government making it appear as if they are doing something to reduce knife crime, when in actual fact, it isn't going to effect the rates at all.
