• Refugees Welcome in Chorley
David Cameron announced we’ll welcome 20,000 more Syrian refugees. But there’s a catch. This will take 5 years, leaving thousands of refugees in limbo. It’s now up to us to show that in cities, towns and villages all across the country we’re ready to welcome people now. Aylan, the toddler who drowned fleeing Syria, was just three years old. His town was under attack by Isis. His five year old brother and his mum also died trying to reach safety. We don't want Britain to be the kind of country that turns its back as people drown in their desperation to flee places like Syria. So let's stand up for Britain's long tradition of helping refugees fleeing war. Let's show the Prime Minister that we, the people of the UK, are proud to do our part and provide refuge to people in their hour of need. • Re-Allow Microwave ovens in British schools for the use of students.
As you might know the policy of having microwaves in British schools has been changed. Therefore the microwaves has been removed. The new rule is that teacher will microwave the food for the students and then check the temperature to make sure if it is safe to eat. Even the students of age 15 are not allowed. This might sound like a dumb petition but the students really need it. Imagine you going to office with cold food and then are forced to eat it cold due to being not allowed to use a simple microwave oven. The students want actions to be taken immediately. Please sign this petition and help the students in need.

  • House refugees in empty flats.
Property is being used as 'cement money-boxes' by overseas investors, kept empty deliberately and inflating the property market. Refugees (in countries that recent British military action has helped to destabilise) need homes - morally, we should help more.

  • International Child Abduction : Preventative Measure
My 4 children were abducted abroad from the UK by their mother in 2005. The UK court becomes powerless as the jurisdiction of the court transfers to the foreign country and in many cases the children cannot be found as they simply disappear. It is a very real problem which has seen a huge increase in recent years and causes devastation for children and parents. The situation can be largely resolved at the outset by requiring validation, this is a system already in place in the USA and most recently South Africa which does work to great effect. Few reasons exist for a child to be traveling abroad without the knowledge or consent of the absent parent. REUNITE a government recognised charity which gives support to parents and children who are the victims of Child Abduction, would like to see a system of protection put in place as they daily experience the devastation which follows child abduction.
