Scotland's Rural and Island Young People's Call for ActionGrowing up in Rural and Island Scotland is a unique experience, with a diverse range of opportunity and challenges. This distinct experience needs to be recognised, and rural and island young people’s voices need to be heard on decisions that impact them. Rural and Island Young People have the support of a range of youth organisations but now we are looking for tangible commitment from elective representatives and decision makers to ensure meaningful participation.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Innes Morgan

The Famous Punch Bowl, Warwick, is under threat.LOSS OF THE PUNCH BOWL https://www.facebook.com/groups/643182409721539/?ref=share Although this Facebook group was created for the exchange of information about the history of pubs that once served Warwick but no longer exist, it might provide a useful space to help prevent another Warwick pub joining the ‘Lost List’. As already reported, planning permission to convert the Punch Bowl into a single private dwelling has been sought - by Graham Beamish Architect, Lenchwick, Worcestershire on behalf of Secret Properties Limited, Leamington. Although planning permission has been sought, it could be denied. Permission is, in general, considered and ‘dealt with’ by the planning office staff. However, if sufficient objections are raised, the application will be considered by the planning committee of the District Council. If you object to the loss of this pub, please complete the form at https://planningdocuments.warwickdc.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=_WARWI_DCAPR_88306. Refusal of permission can only be achieved by collective action - all objections submitted on this form are good and will highlight our concern. My reasons for retaining the Punch Bowl (and feel free to use any/all of them as you wish) will be focused on: 1. It is an asset to the community (often used for the social, well-being or social interests of the local community). 2. Unique to Warwick as it is the only regular music venue. 3. One of the very few pubs in Warwick providing room for social engagements e.g. wedding receptions. 4. One of the very few independent Warwick pubs - unattached to any large brewery. If there is sufficient interest in opposing Planning Application, it would be a good idea to start a Facebook Group for Saving the Punch Bowl. If there is any interest in forming a syndicate to buy the pub, that could also be organised through the new Facebook Group92 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Evans

Fleetsbridge skateparkBecause many kids teens and adults alike are getting into skateboarding after lockdown and the closest skatepark is a small old metal park which is mostly made for more experienced skaters. Alot of us will benefit from it.32 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Noah Travers

Watch Your Speed (Bexhill Road)Bexhill Road has encountered problems with vehicles travelling at high speed for many years. However, since the removal of the uneven road surfaces the road has become a major cut through for traffic, with vehicles travelling over the designated speed limit. Frequently in excess of 50 mph. The residents of Bexhill Road have requested that Brighton & Hove City Council take action, and sadly varying excuses have been made to avoid implementing safety measures. The residents would like the council to take immediate action for the safety of the residents and young children that live in the street.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jade Robertson

Stop English football clubs from forming a European super leagueIf a European super league goes ahead the history of football in not only England but Spain, Italy and whichever other countries team decides to join goes down the drain. This scheme is only for the rich owners of football clubs and completely disregards the fans that have supported such clubs for decades.15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by sacha macy

SAY NO TO SUPER LEAGUE | Boycott Manchester UnitedGrowing up football fans supporting Manchester United is something to be truly proud of. This ‘Super League’ will be the death of football. There is simply a fulfilling excitement when watching our teams play in our respective domestic leagues then watching the European giants clash in the Champions League. It’s something that just cannot be imitated or improved on. We hope this inspires not just Man United to take a stand, but also, fan bases of all clubs involved in this cash-grab scheme. Football would never be the same.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Syed Ahmed

'Stop the BBC Mothballing BBC Four'As a public service broadcaster, the BBC has a long tradition of providing programmes that educate, inform and entertain. The BBC’s Annual Plan for 2021/22 announced that they are intending to stop commissioning original content for BBC4. While BBC4 will continue to broadcast live performances, the rest of the output will just be repeats of existing content from the BBC archives, while BBC3 will return as a broadcast channel. Over the years I've learnt so much from many fine BBC4 programmes on art, music, history, geography, science, technology and much more. I've been transported around the globe by wonderful accounts of spectacular sights and sounds, given privileged access to museums and galleries, learnt about diverse cultures and discovered just what a wonderful world we live in. To my mind, no other broadcaster comes close to the BBC in being able to offer this kind of content to its viewers, and BBC4 has been central to this. Audience figures for these fantastic programmes may be lower than in other areas, but those that watch them love them, and they are an integral part of the BBC's mission. BBC4 still has a unique and important role to play in helping to fulfil Lord Reith's original vision of the role of public service television in the UK. It should not be mothballed; it should be cherished. Please sign and share to support BBC4! https://www.theguardian.com/media/2021/mar/29/bbc-four-to-become-archive-only-as-cost-cutting-drive-continues12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by George Muter

2021 - Time for new trees in WokingMany people have lost friends and loved ones during the pandemic and want a meaningful way to honour them, especially as many of us have not been able to gather at funerals. Helping to plant a tree which will stand as a, long-term, living memorial, is a positive step. Helping to fund the work of Cruse locally, will mean that more people can have practical support in a time of very real need. Trees are fundamentally important to our planet - Friends of the Earth estimate that in order to avoid a climate crisis, we need to double the number of trees in the UK - by 2030; projects like ours, will help reach that milestone. The website will be a valuable education resource for the whole community, especially our children and young people, now but for years to come. Working together to plant trees is a community project for EVERYONE - it brings people of all ages together, to share a goal and celebrate the power of working together.34 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Simon Hawkings

Entertainment centre for the youth of Burton Upon TrentThe young people are bored, there is absolutely nothing for them to do for fun. We need to show them all the things that they can do, they don’t know what talents they have or what they love because they haven’t gotten the chance to. Some people have never left this town or maybe can’t afford to so they have never experienced fun and activities outside of school or college. They need to be stimulated, educated and taken care of by this town and it’s doing a terrible job of it.63 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Marissa Alexander

Give Billy Monger recognition for what he has achievedAfter being critically injured in 2017, he has managed to recover, and although he has had both legs amputated, he has resumed his motor racing career. His epic comic relief challenge has been nothing less than remarkable - covering 140 miles over four days by walking, cycling and kayaking.. He is an inspiration to all of us.
