• Respirators in high rise flats
After the Tragedy at Grenfell Tower and the unknown amount of people who died from smoke inhalation, this could be an effective low cost fast way to give people a chance of getting through the deadly smoke. We should all understand that the government will not fit sprinkler systems within flats similar to Grenfell but this would be a start to give people a chance of getting out of the building alive if such events occur.

  • Honour your promise to the surviving families of the Grenfell Towers tragedy.
Upon learning that families who decline to move away from their community & their lives will be declared - "intentionally homeless!" For the families this now means - withdrawal of promised support; loss of housing rights position; & most shockingly - potential loss of custody of their children!!! This is no way to treat British citizens, so I implore anyone who reads this petition, to sign it & send it across their networks, in order to help the traumatised families. Lets make sure that the lessons of past tragedies aren't repeated here; not now, not ever!!! Thank you.

  • Return all victims of Grenfell Tower Communities back into the RBKC, Now and not in years to come.
After an incident of this magnitude survivors and victims must to be close to the people they know and the community they belong to. Being close is the only way the survivors can benefit from the immediate support individuals in the community, multi faith groups, independent business, and charities, have put together in support of all. LEGAL SUPPORT Legal support is of paramount importance. Information is almost fresh on the hour. Survivors must be informed of their legal rights the dos and the dont's that may not benefit or may affect their choices later. By moving the survivors and victims far from their community they will be made more vulverable and are more likely to take settlements they will later regret. TRAUMA MENTAL HEALTH Signs of trauma are already evident throughout the community. Trauma is a serious situation and nothing more healing than be closer to those you know and can care for all with love and empathy. HATE SPEACH AND HUMAN RIGHTS Theresa May must 1- make all forms of social and ethic cleansing illegal and a form of human rights abuse. 2- make illegal for all the advocates of real estate to refer to the dwellers of council towers and social housing as a treat and as undisarables. Such must be recognised as hate speach and must be made illegal. 3- End the long standing pressure imposed by local Estate Agent on the local Council to cleanse Ladbroke Grove ( and other parts of the country) of people living in social housing. This must be recognised as a form of hatred and must be made illegal. CLASS AND RACIAL DISCRIMINATION, RACIAL AND CLASS PROFILING IN PERIOD OF CRISES such as Grenfell Tower Fire must be recognised as a human right abuse and crime against humanity. Lived together Killed together Surviving together Ladbroke Grove belongs to all...the poor, the rich, the lazy and the hard working classes. https://youtu.be/EigZWlDG15o

  • Install sprinklers in every high rise
People are more important than profit. The UK government's primary duty is to keep its people safe. This petition shouldn't have to exist, it should have been announced after the last coroner enquiry of the Lakanal tragedy of 2009.

  • Install fire alarms and sprinklers in high rises
So in light of the terrible tragedy at Grenfell Tower in London which was completely avoidable if working alarms and sprinklers where installed on every floor. I discovered there are NO ALARMS AND SPRINKLERS at all in the 19 story tower block I live in, I also discovered this is the case in many other tower blocks across Glasgow and the country. I am calling on Glasgow city council to install alarms and sprinklers also carry out regular fire safety checks on mini multis and high rises as it will save lives. In 2017 this should be made mandatory for all buildings but sadly that wasn't the case and then the worst happened for the people of Grenfell Tower. Please sign to stop this happening again else where.

  • Clean up Social Housing
The UK has regulating bodies covering all aspects of life, that members of the public can complain to about poor standards of service. Yet Social Housing is not one of them, despite housing costs being the largest essential outlay for most of us. I am a Hyde Housing Association leaseholder, struggling for one year, to get answers to questions about service charges, for services not rendered. I have ample evidence, yet most of my emails have not only been ignored by staff but also the CEO, the Ombudsman and a local councilor and all published/promised deadlines have been missed. The sums involved are not worth the stress of preparing for and costs of Tribunal but that is my only remaining option. There is much evidence online, of leaseholders and tenants of leading housing associations, seeking justice for unfair charges or worse, life-threatening, unattended repairs and of suspect practices and negligence. In 2015, total UK housing association stock stood at 2,828,000 and this will have risen with new build initiatives designed to deal with the housing crisis. Potentially, the vast majority of the leaseholders and tenants of these properties, could be either unaware that their service charges do not reflect actual expenditure or are aware and are unable to get justice. It is a national disgrace that these bodies, endorsed and supported by Government, who the public should be able to trust, are not being held to account for their exceedingly poor practices and continue to win awards and new contracts at the expense of millions of households. Please support this petition, in particular, if you are a housing association leaseholder or tenant who is sick of grand statements, that are rarely lived up to.
