BUILD SOCIAL HOUSING NOW!!!As a nation, we are in a housing crisis!!! We just don't have enough housing and although some building is happening, I have not heard of any of them being social! Affordable housing is happening in places but is still beyond the poorest in society and this includes families with two working parents!!!! We need social housing NOW!!!! We need to get families out of private rental to save the excessive money used by councils to make up the shortfall in rent, to stop private land lords profiting from the governments poor housing planning for decades, and get everyone the houses they need/deserve! Use the money saved in rent on social care, mental health care and help the very weakest in society to get shelter too!!!!!!4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Clare Whiteside-Knott

Support Ealing Council in providing more social housingAffordable housing is London's single biggest problem. We must allow London to evolve as it has over hundreds of years and that means change. The use of land to allow people to hark back to a quaint rural idyll does not belong in the 21st Century. We must do what we can to ensure key workers are able to live in London so it remains a great place to live, and we must not be putting key workers in positions where they live in poverty or have to live miserable lives commuting because we care more about vegetables than we do about people.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mike Pilcher

SUPPORT OUR HOMELESS.Homeless people could be fined up to £1,000 for sleeping in doorways near popular tourist spots, under new rules launched by a London council, and this is not the first or only council to invoke this ruling. It’s not clear how destitute rough sleepers are expected to pay. Hackney Council’s Public Space Protection Order bans sleeping in public places – offenders are handed a £100 fixed penalty, which can rise to £1,000 in court. Homelessness charities have condemned the move, saying that it turns rough sleepers – who are often escaping lives of abuse – into criminals. Rough sleepers deserve better than to be treated as a nuisance. Those who sleep on the streets are extremely vulnerable and often do not know where to turn for help.15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Pol O'hEigceartaigh

Find Appropriate Housing for Bobby CarverRobert Carver urgently needs your assistance. He is a paraplegic with no use or feeling in either of his legs alongside numerous debilitating conditions including, fibromyalgia and colitis. Despite his severely debilitated condition, Brighton & Hove City Council are refusing to provide him with appropriate housing, causing him daily pain. For the past two years, Bobby has been unable to walk or use his legs. Through complete negligence on the part of Brighton and Hove Council, he is still housed in a second floor, temporary-accommodation flat, with a steep and narrow staircase, which is totally unsuitable for his needs. His social worker and many council professionals have witnessed, first-hand, that he has to lower himself down these stairs using only his arms, causing him to fall regularly. Bobby’s flat is also tiny, cramped and none of the doorways are suitable for wheelchairs. Because of this, he has to pull himself around on the floor, dragging his legs behind him, causing his body yet more damage every day. I am hoping to pressure Brighton and Hove City Council into providing the housing that Bobby should be getting already without a fight. For more information on Bobby’s fight please read the following article and watch the ITV piece below: http://www.itv.com/news/meridian/update/2016-10-12/helpless-prisoner-in-top-floor-flat/ https://brightonandhovehousingcrisis.wordpress.com/2016/11/18/perfectly-acceptable-in-brighton-hove/41 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Niamh Hunter

I would like to Also know Why Scotland do Not pay this tax , But those in England Have to .. If the Past Governments had built enough social housing, When they sold many houses under the right to buy scheme, We would not have this problem and horrendous tax on the poor in society. Colchester - Axe the Housing ActThe Housing and Planning Act is a threat to all except the large landlords and developers making money from the housing crisis. Council, housing association and private tenants have a common interest in fighting the Act. So do local councils, housing associations, housing workers and trade unions. Those who are adequately housed themselves are concerned about where their children and grandchildren will live. The government wants to divide us, but we must unite to demand a decent housing future for all. One thing is certain: the Housing and Planning Act will make the housing crisis worse. There will be fewer truly affordable, secure, decent quality homes available for rent so, if they can’t afford to buy, more people will be forced into the unregulated private rented sector. The government dangles the dream of home-owning for all, but in reality it means the richest few buying up more homes, and renting them to the rest of us. This turns back the housing clock to the early 20th century when 90% of people in the UK rented privately. We mustn’t let this happen! THE HOUSING AND PLANNING ACT IS A THREAT TO US ALL! http://www.axethehousingact.org.uk77 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Emily Cornell

Re-instate Sound MoneyThe current system of creating money through the sale of ever increasing layers of debt, and now, the BofE operating an unaccountable balance sheet which defies principle or prudence, is plumbing the depths of fantasy economics, is unsustainable in nature. It is starting to resemble a listing pirate ship liable to sink at any moment. Only Sound money can deliver a reduction of inequality, a sustainable future for the environment and the next generation and re-establish trust in government, creating a new united kingdom that everyone can believe in.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tom Naysburn

Maintain funding for Homeless and Disabled Supported HousingThe cuts to funding will hinder people with learning disabilities, who want to live independently, as well as homeless projects, potentially creating a Postcode lottery. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/dwp-disability-cuts-supported-housing-mencap-womens-refuges-homeless-hostels-a7309466.html#gallery Ministers say it is needed for efficiently, but picking on vulnerable members of society, will only increase problems further down the line. Steps to tackle corporate tax dodging would be a better way of making these savings. As someone who is disabled myself, I feel very strongly, that people like us should be able to live independently, and contribute to society, and not be made to feel we are being cast out. Growing up, I was made to feel a second class citizen by peoples attitudes, and have felt we have made a lot of progress through coverage of the Paralympics, being a great example.29 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Blakemore

The breach of rights for profit must stopThis has created a massive impact on the UK welfare population that goes all the way to mothers caring for their disabled children, charging people ludicrous fines and causing much suffering for those affected. For example of this here's links to supporting articles such as a woman accused of being married to a dead pensioner http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/37339981 http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/teen-mum-tax-credits-stopped-88259538 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jade Halford

Government to build an adequate supply of affordable rented accommodationThis is important because over the last 35 years local authorities have been denied the funding to build enough affordable rented accommodation. At the same time, Central Government has encouraged Local Authorities to sell off council properties, thus diminishing the stock available to house people from the waiting lists.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Chris Bennett
