Save our trees on 'Green' lanesThe council ignore resident concerns and is intent on pressing forward despite the transformation of our Winchmore hill into an ugly, congested, concrete jungle with decimated natural beauty and failing business. Enfield council presented false statements and visual plans of green lanes in their 'consultation for the cycle lane scheme - on the drawings no mention was made of tearing up and ripping out ten mature trees along our green lanes to date - and more to come. The residents of Winchmore hill did not agree to the replacement of beautiful mature trees with grey slabs of concrete - 'improving public spaces ' in the council's words. No effort has been made to protect the trees at all despite claims to the contrary . Worryingly letters have been put in local communications to inform residents of more trees 'necessary' to be removed . These were not presented as needing removal in the 'consultation' plans. We live in Winchmore hill because we chose to live amongst greenery and historical mature trees.472 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Maria Panayi

Removal of the Bedroom Tax from the 2017 Conservative ManifestoSince the introduction of the Bedroom Tax, affected tenants have been forced to make a series of cutbacks in order to survive on a lower income. The Department for Work and Pensions estimated that 75% had to cut back on their expenditure on food, 46% reduced the amount they spent on heating and 33% spent less on travel. These are cutbacks that are not necessary - the harshness of the Bedroom Tax is the reason for such measures. 14-25% reduction in housing benefit is a large chunk of income to lose, especially when this money is essential to pay bills. Those losing housing benefit struggle to increase income levels after the tax; 50% of affected tenants wished to do this, by either finding employment or increasing their hours at their current employment, yet found difficulty in being able to do this.319 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Callum Leaver

The right to know the outcome of Election Expense Fraud Allegations regardless of election rulesA spokesperson for the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) confirmed to the Independent this week that charges would have to be made before the general election on 8 June. However, due to "election rules" the CPS may be unable to make a public announcement about any formal charges. The public may therefore end up being none the wiser if their prospective MP has been charged. There are ongoing electoral fraud investigations against a substantial number of Conservative MPs. Not only do these allegations have pointed implications for this election, but there are also wider lessons on campaign spending that still need to be learnt. Just last month the Electoral Commission handed out the largest fine in its history - £70,000 - to the Conservatives for violating electoral law. This came after a 13-month long investigation into the party’s campaign spending during by-elections in 2014 and the general election in 2015. Far from this record fine marking the end of the saga, criminal charges are at this very moment being considered by the Crown Prosecution Service against at least 30 individuals in the Conservative party. Many of them are currently MPs, many of them will be candidates in this election, and many of them could be re-elected. This can NOT be allowed to happen; we have a right to the information so that we can make a fully informed decision! http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/alexandra-runswick/election-expenses_b_16146174.html15,877 of 20,000 SignaturesCreated by Tim Longson

Ban front page political advertising during British election campaignsThese ads are an affront to democracy. In 2015 the Conservative Party bought wraparound front page adverts in newspapers in key marginal seats, including the Lancaster Guardian, Lincolnshire Echo, Eastbourne Herald and Hastings & St Leonards Observer. This undoubtedly influenced the election result. These ads were designed to look like editorial so it appeared that the newspapers were endorsing the political party. This petition is aimed at all political parties and not just the Conservatives. This advertising must stop. It is undemocratic and a threat to the integrity of the press.141 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Ben Westwood

No General Election until resolution of Conservative MP election Fraud chargesA General Election should not go ahead with the prior knowledge that numerous Conservative Members of Parliament "MP's" representing constituencies across the United Kingdom are facing criminal charges relating to election fraud during the last general election. We can not have MPs we know now may be convicted standing for their constituencies in the proposed June 8th general election. The next election should be entered in to only after the MPs identified by the Police and charged by Criminal Prosecution Services "CPS" have faced those charges and the courts have reached a final verdict against all counts raised and each MP charged.158 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Chez Brewster

The BBC to give equal coverage to all political parties during the 2017 general election campaignThe BBC has been accused of biased and unbalanced reporting in the past. As this election campaign is incredibly short it is very important that the public are given a fair and balanced view of their choices. The BBC must not allow itself to be used as a tool of propaganda for any party. As a publicly funded organisation it absolutely must not allow itself to have any political bias.263 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Gavin Smart

No election until tory election expenses reports publishedIt is inconceivable that we have a new election while there are serious questions to be answered about the last one, which could have an effect on this government's majority, and the outcome of a new election. It is reported that there are twenty-nine Conservative party seats which are being investigated for exceeding spending limits, which could result in bye elections in those seats, and which therefore could remove the government's majority. It is clearly absurd to have a government which might not be valid to call another election to justify their possibly invalid previous election. The public deserves to know what actually happened in the last election and it is likely that some, if not many, people would vote differently if they knew that the governing party had acted illegally in the last election. We cannot have another election while the result of the previous one is still open to question, with the possible result that the government has no majority, no mandate and no authority to call another election.436 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Richard Burton

We want Leaders debates on TVPrime Minister Mrs. May announced snap elections in an abrupt way to be held on 8th June 2017. We heard that there will be no leadership debates on this occasion. We have leadership debates in recent years and why not this time. We are passing through a transitional period and our country is facing very serious challenges, we the voters want to listen how our next Prime Minister will deal with the issues of Brixit, making deal with EU, how to protect our economy and interests of the working class. If PM has a concrete agenda to address all these issues, she shouldn't hesitate to participate in live TV debates. Voters have a right to listen their leaders and ask them questions.49 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Nawaz Ahmad

Make May appear in GE TV DebatesOn April 18 Theresa May called for a General Election on June 8 in order to strengthen her Party's position in Parliament, going against the Fixed Term Parliament Act. However, in a bid to avoid scrutiny, she has ruled out appearing in any TV debates, robbing the public of further democratic debate1,046 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Nathan Burns
