Some of the DUP’s views are dangerous. They include being anti-abortion, opposing same-sex marriage, and denying climate change. These views have no place in British politics. But they could end up having a lot of influence in the government. The UK government should lead the world on these issues. If the DUPs backwards agenda is allowed to influence UK government policy, it could set us back years. In the aftermath of the recent Manchester bombing and the London Bridge atrocity, The Daily Mail published a front page headline and a 13 page campaign against Jeremy Corbyn's inner circle and The Sun newspaper simultaneously published a libellous front page article entitled "Jezza's Jihadi Comrades", one day before polling stations opened for the General Election. These actions had the clear aim of influencing public opinion to believe there was a link between Jeremy Corbyn and Jihadism. These actions are highly inflammatory as they prey on a heightened state of public fear against Islam as well as potentially undermining the UK election campaign as a whole. We call on The Daily Mail and The Sun to issue an immediate public apology to Jeremy Corbyn.

Hosting a Polling Station at Leckhampton CofE Primary School raises safeguarding issues, places school staff under additional pressure, creates more administration and disrupts the school day. The school could close to overcome these issues but this would be unnecessary if an alternative location (such as Leckhampton Village Hall or Glebe Cottages, St Peter's Leckhampton) was used as a Polling Station. We reserve our right to appeal to The Electoral Commission against any decisions of the Returning Officer.

We need to hold to account those responsible for funding terror and those who maintain normal relations, this can only be achieved by tackling those who fund them head on and are called out publicly.

This is an international problem, which met with an international solution - and Britain must join the international condemnation of America's terrible, selfish decision. We do not want to live in a world dominated by bullies. We do not want to live in a Britain too scared to do anything America doesn't want. We demand leadership that makes us proud to be British. If Theresa May cannot condemn America's decision to condemn our planet, will she ever stand up for anything? British people stand up for others, and we stand up for what we believe in. We do not want a Prime Minister who licks the boots of the American president. Theresa May must show strong leadership and sign the international letter condemning Donald Trump and his abandonment of the Paris agreement.

Wild animals, like lions and tigers, are not meant to live their lives travelling from place to place in small cages, only to be then forced to train for the next circus performance. They deserve to live in much better conditions. Eighteen countries have already banned the use of wild animals in circuses. It's possible for circus organisers to put on an exciting performance without involving wild animals. Polls have shown that Scottish people overwhelmingly support this ban, so it's time for the Scottish Government to put the ban in place. The Scottish Government is currently in consultation to pass this into law. We hope to collect as many signatures as possible. That way we can submit our petition as evidence that the Scottish people care about this cause, and force this bill through. Dementia is the single biggest killer for people over 60, taxing people with this horrible disease is absurd. This condition is futile and people should not be punished for a condition they are unable to control.

Sara worked tirelessly to expose child sexual exploitation in Greater Manchester. Despite being ignored by children's services and police she carried on collecting evidence trying to get people in power to listen. Her work lead to the conviction of a vicious paedophile network and continues to be important evidence in ongoing investigations. This work took a huge toll on Sara so we believe it is right and proper that she is recognised by the state.

Questions from member of the public are absolutely vital, they show transparency within the chamber and allow the public to ask pertinent questions at a time they can attend meetings. The change in time of council meetings will exclude working councillors from Full Council meetings.

The public deserve the opportunity to hear the leaders of our two major parties debate the issues that affect all of our lives leading up to the 2017 General Election. Both leaders cannot possibly speak to every person in the U.K. in the time remaining before the vote, so by participating in a live tv debate, they can afford the people of the United Kingdom the opportunity to make an informed decision. A good leader can engage in a debate frankly and thoroughly. At this General Election, the people of the United Kingdom must choose a representative with the vision and the personal resources to navigate us all through a complex period in our history. Holding a public debate on issues that concern society will give the public clarity and confidence in their vote, and will allow for the creation of a transparent and accountable administration, after June 8th.
