Over 9,000 early deaths are caused by air pollution in London every year. There are areas in London that exceeded annual pollution limits just eight days into 2016. These pollution hotspots are on our high streets, by our children’s schools and where we work. We’re finding out more and more about how damaging air pollution is - not to just people with asthma, like myself, or other respiratory or even heart conditions, but to children whose lungs are smaller, whose growth is stunted, because of the dirty air they breathe. That’s why, despite living in Zone 3, I was shocked to discover that both of my children’s schools are in air pollution hotspots, where legal limits are regularly broken. Sadly, this is not unusual, as many primary schools are on roads with heavy traffic and this is the biggest source of air pollution in our city. Even more shockingly, under current plans by the UK Government, London won’t meet legal limits of air pollution until at least 2025 – 15 years after the original deadline. At the moment the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) will mean only the cleanest vehicles can enter central London from 2020. This is still, however, not enough to clean up all of London’s air even by 2025. That’s why Sadiq is looking at whether the ULEZ should be expanded to the North and South circulars. Yet, there are pollution hotspots outside of this area. So, the ULEZ needs to be expanded to cover the whole of Greater London to protect all Londoners. The UK Government has been taken to court for failing to protect us from air pollution and the previous Mayor did very little to clean up our air. While I welcome the considerable efforts that the new Mayor has taken, I encourage him to be bolder, braver and faster with action to address this crisis.

Having endured nine months of road closure due to land slip it now transpires that the 37 service during this time picked up more traffic flow on its redirected route (Newton St Loe & Saltford) who frankly have services to both cities of Bath and Bristol. A decision has been made by the company that the service 'doesn't cut the mustard' and is not commercially viable. BNES & SGC need to take URGENT action at Council ward level to step in and provide a solution for rural home owners both young and elderly.

As said already, its our lifeline, particukarly to my job and our neurology appointments.

I was boarding a bus the other day - i don't take buses often, but with both my parents being busy, it was the only way that I could get into town. I boarded the bus, asked for an under-16 ticket, only to be asked for £1.90. I remember a time when adult tickets were priced at this, and when under-16 tickets were £1.30, which was fair enough. First Cymru have seemed to 'bump up' the fares every couple of months by 10p or so, and it has gotten to the point where I would rather walk into town. Under-16s can't get jobs, so putting the bus fares up every couple of months seems a bit unfair on them. Especially since they are probably going into town to meet with friends, and have a limited amount of money, much like I normally do. This petition could also work with adult fares, I believe that they are now £2.40, as I saw someone buying a ticket the other day. To make this sound worse, a bus in London, which is apparently the most expensive city, only costs £1.50 for a single ticket to go anywhere. I believe that the Swansea fare depends on how many stops you go, but for most people living outside of town, it tends to go to the maximum chargeable fare. First are simply taking advantage of people now that bus companies are no longer ruled by the council.

We play a vital role in safety, being informative, assisting anyone that might need help in boarding on & off the buses and a friendly face should someone just need a chat. I actually work on routes 24 & 390 & have for just over 3yrs. My elderly passengers on the 24 are very upset, they love having the safety of our arms to help them on & off the bus. This enables them to still have a certain amount of independence, without having to rely on a slotted time from some other form of transport, they can come & go as they please. Wheelchair users that do need assistance! Who's going to help them? Or the visually impaired passenger that feels safer taking our arm.

This is important to give people mentioned there independence and inclusion. There freedom from there carers. And it would give there carers some rest bite

Saltash Train Station is the gateway station to Cornwall. It is the first station to greet travelers to this beautiful county and right now it is going to rack and ruin. This campaign is to request that Saltash Town Council make an offer on the building and facilitate its restoration to its former glory - a welcoming place to greet travelers, holiday makers, day trippers, commuters and local residents. Saltash is such a vibrant and thriving town with so much to offer and if we had a fully operating and welcoming train station it would encourage even more people to stop off and visit this wonderful and historic town. Many of us have children who use the station daily in order to travel to schools, near and far. It would have such an impact on their daily commute, especially on those dark winter mornings and evenings. We already have the historic Brunel Railway Bridge running into our town so lets maximize on this and create a train station that's fit to accommodate such a feat of engineering. Don't let the building be turned into flats! Please take a moment to sign this petition in order to demonstrate to the Council how much of an impact this would have to the local community, and beyond.

The bus operator Stagecoach is proposing to reduce route 16 and eliminate route 77 connecting the villages of Invergowrie and Kingoodie to Perth, Dundee and Fife. Although Invergowrie is a small community it has two major employers: The James Hutton Institute and Scottish water. It also has a big primary school. The James Hutton Institute employs over 300 people and around 200 pupils attend the primary school. Adding to this the local businesses and around 1,700 residents, the cuts will impact directly a significant amount of people and will have wider consequences for Perth and Kinross, Fife and Dundee. Cuts to the services will: • Increase traffic around the school putting children’s safety at risk • Have a greater impact on vulnerable people such as pensioners, low income families and disabled. • Impact scientific research at the JHI • Increase the risk to cyclist and drivers who in bad weather in winter have the option to take the bus. • Have a negative impact on the environment by increasing traffic. We strongly oppose the proposed measures and reject the consultation done by Stagecoach as it was badly advertised, rushed and restrictive. We call for a new consultation in which residents’ and employees’ concerns can be properly heard and we look forward to finding an outcome that serves our communities better.

Wilsham road is a busy commuter route for pedestrians and cyclists and as a resident of a nearby road I have seen an increase on the amount of parked vehicles. parked cars pose a particular hazard at the junctions of saxton road, preston road and townsend. Its only a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured due to inconsiderately parked vehicles.

Finsbury Park is the fourth busiest Underground station outside zone 1. As many have experienced first-hand, the station currently experiences regular closures and delays due to overcrowding during peak hours. This overcrowding is not only inconvenient, it is also potentially dangerous. The proposed closure of Wells Terrace entrance which is due to take place on 18 July 2016 will inevitably make matters worse and cause even further delays and congestion. TfL plans to close this entrance permanently. A new entrance will be located on Fonthill Road, removed from the current Bus station. Until 2019, TfL plans to have only one entrance open during peak hours, Station Place. This is completely inadequate. When the closure of Wells Terrace was first proposed TfL postponed their decision to close the entrance back in April 2015 in order to "minimise disruption.” What has changed since then? If anything more commuters use the station than ever before and TfL has provided users of this station with no information regarding the impact that this will have on daily commutes. TfL has failed to propose any mitigation for the effects which the closure will have. Now is surely the time to pause and come up with a better plan - Please sign this petition to put pressure on TfL to suspend its closure of Wells Terrace on Monday 18 July 2016 entrance at Finsbury Park station until a viable solution can be found to prevent delays and overcrowding. TfL should consult the public on this.
