GP's forced to charge for appointmentsA new scheme has been launched which enables people to skip queues in GP surgeries and have an on-demand doctor visit them in their own home. Within 90 minutes. The only catch — it costs £120. The new ‘private primary care’ service, developed by GP Delivered Quick (GPDQ), involves people ‘booking’ a doctor via a smartphone app. They select a date and time for them to visit. Each consultation lasts around 25 minutes and the doctors are on call seven days a week between 8am and 11pm. But if you’re desperate to see a doctor, it’ll cost you. To book a 25-minute weekday consultation costs £120. For weekend visits, it’s £150. And for a bank holiday, £200! This immediately discriminates against those to whom 'smart phone apps' are not easily available i.e. pensioners , low earners, many disabled groups, homeless people, I'm sure you could add to the list. Equally it discriminates against the great majority of British people that would find £120 hard to find if they were too sick to work . Imagine a few quid elevating minor complaints above acute emergencies in an already stretched system - a tickly cough leaps to the head of the list above angina, feeling 'under the weather' trumps suicidal thoughts, severe headaches or abdominal pains. If you want what Theresa May promised - government that benefits all of us - please sign this petition for a health service that benefits us all without regard for wealth when ill. NHS doctors are for all of us and do a fantastic job under increasingly stressed conditions . BUPA & co are there for the wealthy. Please sign and let us keep that distinction- our lives may depend upon it.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mark Gibson

No alcohol in ParliamentFirstly,I don't believe there should be alcohol in the workplace. Efficient working and alcohol don't mix.I have never worked anywhere where the staff are able to drink on the premises.(Clearly different rules might apply in the hospitality industry) Secondly, given the health consequences of alcohol consumption,it would give a very clear and positive message to the nation. I would point out that I am not anti alcohol, and enjoy sociable drinking on the right occasions.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tony Barrett

The need for housingThe fundamental mistake made by planners, at all levels, is that they assume that residential accommodation is automatically, a house. There is so much empty office space in all towns, large and small, which, if handed over to be used for residential use, would provide so much housing, usually without too much work required. Some towns are doing this, but it needs to be a national scheme. This, more often than not, is in town centres and if empty buildings could be converted for housing, thousands of people would become residents of towns that often need reviving. The residents would not need to commute by car to work, would use shops in the towns and contribute to the towns` economies as well as the Local Authorities through Council Tax.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Charles Pollard

Stop non-residents parking in resident car parking spaces at Salisbury District Hospital.Visitors car park are for visitors only and staff car parks are for staff only- therefore residents car parks should be for residents only. If there are not enough spaces provided for staff, more spaces need to be provided. Resident car parks should not be used as an over fill.45 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alex Oldham

Safer trolleys for family shoppingGrocery shopping with small children is never a fun job, nor anyone's first choice of outing with the children! However, shopping trolleys at budget supermarkets tend not to have the clip child safety restraints to deter little ones from standing up in the seat, or worse, falling from that height onto a solid concrete floor. If all supermarkets were to have appropriate and approved child safety belts, it would prevent numerous injuries and increase parental peace of mind.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lindsay Ryan

Make the warnings of the side effects of prescribed medicines far more transparentA major contributing factor in my brothers death , who was cut down by a massive fatal heart attack There are so many modern medicines being prescribed and too few people realise what it is they are taking, This must stop. A clear understanding of the after effects should be explained, informing the patient of the choice74 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lee Benson

Change the law - protect rape victimsAs a number of recent cases have shown, the provision at present, although meant as an exceptional exercise, is being routinely abused by defence lawyers keen to tarnish the reputation of the complainant, effectively arguing that, the greater number of consensual sexual encounters s/he engages in, the less possibility there is of s/he being raped. The constant misuse of the provision is resulting in many miscarriages of justice, and, more importantly, is creating the impression among many victims of sexual assault that pursuit of justice will not only prove fruitless but further victimise and humiliate them.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Matthew Callingham

2 STREET LIGHTS FOR EMPRESS AVENUE ALLEY, PENZANCETo feel safe when walking through the alley. It's so dark you can't even see where your going - this is for most nights. Recent news of people dressing up as clowns to hurt and/or frighten people is an added worry in such a dark alleyway. Personally, I don't feel safe walking down that alleyway, but my neighbours and I live there and that is the only access route to our homes. Which ever end of the alleyway you use, it is still pitch black for the majority of it.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Greg Sheperd

Poet Laureate forJohn Cooper ClarkeIt's would be comparable with some of the honours given to popular music performers of Clarkes generation. It would show that poetry can entertain and reach a mass audience particularly the young. Like the landscapes of Lowery can turn 'down to earth' subjects into an art form and comment on society from a working class viewpoint.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Graham Smith

Stop re-testing benefits for disabled people with incurable conditionsTest for the disability benefit PIP are carried out by the for-profit company Capita. Their assessors have been criticised for insensitive treatment of seriously ill citizens and for producing reports which give an inaccurate picture of what individuals are able to do. Many disabled people find the assessment process to be stressful and upsetting, and there is no point in constantly reassessing someone whose condition is never going to get better, or will get worse over time. The fact that the Government have decided to stop reassessments for ESA claimants with lifelong, incurable conditions shows that they realise that this isn't an effective use of resources. Now they need to extend this to PIP as well, and stop wasting public funds on unnecessary assessments which can be distressing for those involved.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alethea Warrington

Integrate Health and Social Care Now.The costs to the NHS are crippling. A & E departments are struggling to cope because the elderly are becoming unwell for want of adequate social care provision and are being forced to attend hospitals where, once admitted, they are likely to occupy specialist beds that they do not need, because there is nothing else available in the community. All old people deserve much better treatment than is currently available in Britain. As a country we spend less on health per capita than do most advanced economies. We are a wealthy nation but our disgraceful provision for the elderly is more like that experienced in a third world country.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jeff Wood
