Currently there is no safe walk way between the 2 villages that share a secondary school. This hinders children from choosing to cycle to school which is just over a mile away. Also as the two villages have dwindling local service especially bethel more and more people are having to travel to Llanrug to use the local shops which is increasing the vehicles / Walkers/ cyclists using the very narrow connecting road.

No one is assessing people working toward natural, or integrated wellness at all The NHS see 1m people every 36 hrs. If they were collecting information about wellness, not only would the data fund the NHS and more, it would help what we know about reducing all illness, including cancer. Cancer research looks primarily at how we attack cancer in ways that are increasingly less brutal. No one's looking at how we live well with cancer so it can cope with the illness, and strengthen the body rather than attacking the illness. This is true for many other illnesses. Looking at kinder ways to strengthen the body could impact on all illnesses, not just cancer. We're becoming immune to what 1 in 2 being diagnosed with cancer really means, as it's too scary to really consider. Take a moment. 1 in 2 of our loved ones getting cancer, and only being offered treatments that attack the body. 1 in 2 having this treatment might not be the best we can do. How do we know if we don't look? It's no enough just to keep managing a rapidly spreading illness. We need to look at how to reduce the numbers. Surly sustainable, ethical, recreational and woodland based small businesses would be a better example for you to generate income. Sutton & East Surrey Water have stated that there is a very real risk of contamination to the water supply and the ancient and narrow sunken lanes are not appropriate for industrial HGV traffic. The logistics operation for the traffic management alone will make Coldharbour Lane impassable, causing detours and traffic disruption throughout the surrounding area. The District Council, The County Council, The National Trust and local Parish Councils are against it. For nine years local residents have managed to delay production and opposition is growing as we get national press and media. The amount of activity, the number of HGV journeys and a 35m high derrick in this beautiful landscape will make a travesty of its AONB & Green Belt designations. Exploration and possible extraction of fossil fuels contradicts your mission statement and our international commitment to reduce carbon emissions. If the Forestry Commission is truly the steward for forests and the people, then how can you go against the wishes of the local population and their elected representatives in this way?

We feel that the experimental fracking process is dangerous there are a host of examples in the USA and Australia where people living near wells have become ill and their environment has been polluted and water supplies poisoned with toxic chemicals. There is an excess of shale gas as is evidenced by the activities of Exxon and Shell who are building multi million dollar plants to produce plastics with the gas. We don't need dirty fossil fuels or more plastic pollution, the link has been established.

Our libraries are a valuable public resource which enrich the lives of the Harrow population. They are too important to risk in the hands of private profiteers. Croydon, another London borough which gave its libraries contract to Carillion, has already taken this step to protect libraries and to protect the jobs of our library staff.

A mobile phone app called Sarahah lets bullies send abusive messages anonymously. And it’s already spreading like wildfire across our schools - countless children’s lives are being made miserable right now We’ve seen apps like Sahara before, and the danger they put our children in. Last year Sayat.me a similar anonymous messaging app was taken offline after the app was linked to the suicide of a young man. We can’t wait for another tragedy like this to happen before taking action.

There is no viable reason why women cannot race the same duration as men, and the practice is perpetuating problems that cascade through to cycling's national governing bodies and their affiliated race-organising clubs. Women and girls are capable of racing for as long as men and boys, and currently women's races are often shorter, sometimes almost a half of the men's events, depending on the lap distances. If the reason is one of timetable or daylight-availability, then men's races and women's races should both be set to 50 minutes, or similar. There can be no convincing reason for such inequality and cyclocross in particular, along with cycling in general, should be leading the way in setting a sensible standard for gender equality.

As a result of underfunding our local NHS has some of the worst A&E waiting times in the country, fewer GPs and am an ambulance service in special measures, missing targets and putting lives in danger. While people lie waiting in corridors, the Tories are publishing plans that use words like transformation and integration when they mean cuts and rationing. These plans, called Sustainability & Transformation Plans (STPs), will cut £486 million from the NHS in Kent. It’s not about improving healthcare, it’s all about cutting costs. Since the government’s disastrous Health and Social Care Act was passed the NHS has been continuously sliced up for tendering out. The STPs make NHS services even more vulnerable to selling off to huge corporations through so-called Accountable Care Systems, even while the NHS itself becomes less joined up and as we have seen this winter less able to cope with needs and demand.
