Stop the Stewartfield dual carriagewayThis is bad for the people of Easr Kilbride. It will cause huge damage to the environment and the increase in traffic will harm the health of the children in the area.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Simon Brown

Give families help to buy reusable nappies and wipesReusable alternatives are easier to use than ever and the mountain of waste created by just one baby in disposables is shocking. They take far too long to break down and are clogging our rivers and waterways. I'm asking the government to provide vouchers to pregnant women to enable everyone to try cloth nappies. Even using them part time can make a huge difference. Some councils currently offer help, but it's not nationwide and many people don't even know the help is available.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Linda Gilbert

Make tins the same price without the plastic sleeve!Single use plastic is a big topic at the moment and eliminating it completely is going to be a massive job. However there are some completely unnecessary uses still about in supermarkets! It should at the very least cost me the same to buy 4 single tins as it does to buy a pack of 4! It’s clearly cheaper to produce single tins as the cost of packaging is less so why does it cost the consumer more to be plastic free?11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by James Trayton

Reduce use of plastic in Postal packagingThe over-use of plastic packaging and it’s subsequent damage to the environment is increasingly becoming the centre of media attention as time runs out to reverse the damage we have done to our planet. There is an extreme over-use of plastic in Amazon packaging which needs to be addressed; as a leading company in international shipping, action by Amazon WILL be followed by other companies.83 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Caitlin McDonald

Make Trains Cheaper! It is absolutely ridiculous that we are a first world country so committed to fighting climate change on all levels and yet it is cheaper to fly from Scotland to London than it is to get the train. I have a friend who lives near Birmingham. She couldn't afford to get the train back to Scotland for university and instead flew, which was much cheaper. It wasn't even easier or less time consuming once she had made it to the airport, checked in, waited for the flight, boarded, flew, got through the other end and made the rest of the journey by train and bus. However, it was cheaper. You may also have heard the story of the guy for whom it was cheaper to fly to Barcelona, spend the night and fly back to his university city than it was just to get the train. WHY are train journeys so expensive when they should be the cheapest way to get around the country? WHY do we keep saying we're trying to improve the climate situation but are taking actions that directly affect it in more ways than one. And WHY does the government keep ignoring this? They're in denial and it's time we took radical action to actually change the way the country functions.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bethany Carol

Banish garden waste bin chargesRemoving the free fortnightly garden waste bin collection covered by the householders council tax payment to allegedly save funds is going to cause additional costs. With householders being charged to collect garden waste from their homes it will encourage fly tipping of the garden waste in other locations. This will then require additional resources to manage and clean the area affected with this new fly tipping problem. There will still be a kerbside collection of garden waste, presently collected with the existing garden waste. It appears counterproductive to cancel part of a service when the refuse collection trucks will still be visiting the houses.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Graham Vincent

Minimum Pricing on CottonWe engage ourselves with this invisible world, and it's up to us to ethically make right choices. We need to think about the people who have to make this cotton, and the environments where they are made.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mark C

Amazon - please stop using plastic bubble wrap envelopesWe are all becoming more aware of the devastating impact of single use plastic. The increasing (or any) use of this for posting Amazon products has a massive impact given how many parcels they send on a daily basis. This seems to be a huge step backwards at a time when we need to focus on finding sustainable ways to move forward.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Stephanie Wheeler

Zero Emission 100% Electric CarsFact: The gas fueled, internal combustion cars typically driven by Europeans have deteriorated our environment. Think About It: Global warming can be halted with the zero emission 100% Electric Vehicles (EVs) that are made with NiMH batteries whose use is currently being suppressed by Chevron Oil Corporation. Fact: GM has been given $50Billion worth of our tax payer bail out money. Think About It: In 1996, GM had the car of the century, the EV1. The EV1 ran due to the NiMH battery patents acquired by Chevron Oil Corporation. GM crushed ALL OF THEIR CARS shortly thereafter. Why are our tax dollars paying to bail out our automotive industry when our same tax dollars paid for the invention of the NiMH batteries? Fact: In 2005 alone Chevron grossed over $125 Billion (Up 35% from 2004). Think About It: “?” Think About It: The NiMH battery technology is proven with the past ten years of high performance of Toyota RAV 4 EVs made with NiMH batteries. Why waste more of our tax dollar money on technology we already have? Wouldn’t that money be better spent on our ailing health care system? Think About It: The government has exercised Eminent Domain and /or Compulsory Licensing during much less desperate times and for purposes serving much less of the greater good. Yes, it comes at a price, but the amount paid to Chevron would be much less than ongoing cost of Reign of Big Oil. Think About It: What was this war all about? Why are our soldiers dying to preserve Iraqi Oil Fields when we have the battery patents to an emission free, alternative energy technology RIGHT NOW!2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Digriz Digriz
