  • Neha Chaudhry's Renewal of Visa application
Miss Chaudry's walking aid could transform thousands of lives. But a technical error has left her in the situation of leaving the UK within 14 days or file an apoeal whuch does not automatically allow her ro file the correct version of this document.- an appointment's report detailing her status as a director of the company she founded. Unless the Home Office realises this was an unintentional mistake, we will lose the wonderful and frankly life-changing piece of equipment that will turn thousands, if not millions of Parkinson's sufferers. Many more younger sufferers are being diagnosed (http://www.parkinson.org/understanding-parkinsons/what-is-parkinsons/young-onset-parkinsons) each year. Andy Sinclair, director of Sysemia has said of Miss Chaudry " she has invented something that is socially, economically and morally a great thing to do ( source I Weekend) Please loby the Home Office to overturn this decision!!!

  • Push for schools to include mental health lessons on the curriculum
This is important since around 10% of children ages 8-14 have a diagnosed mental health disorder but a massive 70% of children struggle with mental health. This issue is also extremely important for boys and young men because the biggest killer of young boys and men is suicide. Finally as a OCD sufferer myself i know what it is like to have a debilitating disorder.

  • Migrate NHS to Linux
The NHS has just fallen victim of an international cyber-attack but what no one is talking about is how this was the consequence of a blatant error: placing our health system in the hands of a self-oriented international corporation. All the tax payers money used to acquire thousands of Windows XP licenses were simply wasted the moment Microsoft decided to discontinue this version of their operating system. The abandonment of support via security updates by Microsoft since April 2014 is at the core of the NHS' exposure to international hackers. Now the NHS, as well as other public services providers, are rushing to update their operating systems. But we cannot let them make the same mistake again. Moreover, newer versions of Windows also require faster machines, dragging the NHS into a huge expenditure which it can clearly not afford. It is time to move to a more reliable and cheaper alternative that is perfectly suitable for the computers the NHS currently has. Linux operating system is more than appropriate for the kind of tasks required, which are mainly office and data-keeping related. There are several UK based firms offering installation and maintenance of Linux operating systems in large scale. Such that as an extra bonus of this migration, our own internal market will be boosted, creating jobs and generating domestic income. • To reverse the new E-cigarette laws promoting smoking
The new laws will mean that the use of E-cigarettes will become more expensive which, in turn, could mean that many users of E-cigs will return to cigarettes. This is an awful example shown by the government as it is indirectly promoting smoking. Especially when smoking is far worse for you and have thousands of cancer emitting chemicals, whereas E-cig liquids have 4 ingredients which is proven to be a far healthier alternative.

  • Hose pipe watering on Allotments
Watering cans can be heavy when filled up and this is a deterent to older people who would like an allotment but are put off by all the necessary watering. Allowing hose pipes to water the plants, PROVIDING all users agree to an increase in their rents if necessary, is a plausible Health reason. It has been shown time and time again, working in the outdoors on an allotment is very beneficial both to mental Health and physical Health.

  • Lymington council – stop using glyphosates in our parks and open spaces
Exposure to which has been linked to cancer in humans (World Health Organisation), and has led to degradation of ecosystems. Lymington Town Council are aware of this, yet are happy to use it until it's prohibited. Why wait? Many town councils across the UK have switched to a safer non-chemical alternative – it's time Lymington followed suit.

  • Cut traffic pollution with a Park and Ride
Too many cars are coming into Cleethorpes and Grimsby leading to a rise in air pollution. Air pollution is hurting the lungs of our children, older people and those with respiratory conditions like asthma. A Park and Ride facility would be the best way forward to cut the air pollution we experience.

  • Government fund all life-saving services.
Many services such as the RNLI, Air Ambulance, St John's Ambulance, Mountain Rescue England & Wales (MREW) and British Cave Rescue Council (BCRC) rely on public funding. They are registered charities and survive mainly on public donations, despite the fact that they save lives. I strongly feel that any potential service that has the ability to save lives should not have to rely on voluntary donations, and instead should be funded by the government. And this also goes to our existing emergency services who have experienced budget cuts in recent times. For example the Police, Ambulance/NHS, Fire Brigade and Coastguard. Sign this petition if you believe that the government should invest more into our emergency services in order to prevent loss of life.
