Prevent Employers From Recouping Costs From Sick/Injured Workers. There is a climate of fear and insecurity in all areas of employment this, opportunistic, cynical attempt to off-set costs will add to that. Furthermore, workers should not be given a double penalty: lost wages plus the burden of paying for cover while they are sick. No businesses should feel this is an acceptable response. This is a chance for the government to demonstrate a modicum of support for struggling workers.23 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Anthony Dowling

Mental health emergency serviceAt the moment I am going through a tough patch with anxiety and depression and I find myself feeling scared. I increasingly feel that I want to go to hospital, but am aware that it is much harder to become an inpatient than it was 20 years ago. An issue I saw on the Government petition website made me think. If long term sufferers like me, or their families, phoned 999 they could be put through to a person trained to deal with these issues. They could provide immediate support or intervention or a referral. This would free up the police and ambulance services. If another emergency service needed to be involved, this could be assessed and coordinated. Equally, one of the other emergency services could contact the mental health team for advice or to require a physical presence by one of the team. The Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust already have street triage in place, so this could be used as a model for a nationwide roll out : https://www.bsmhft.nhs.uk/our-services/urgent-care/street-triage/ This petition has been inspired by the following petition: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/17242322 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gillian White

Update Musselburgh's Care HomesClaire says, "This is important because the people using these facilities are the friends and family of people from our community. With the amount of housing being built this problem can only get worse and it is our parents and grandparents who will be the ones to suffer. "The most vulnerable in our society deserve the best care and facilities that we are able to provide. The care provided by Eskgreen and The Hollies is second to none but they provide that care in spite of the chronic under investment made by our council and government."8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Claire Graham

List the chemicals used in the production of foods sold in our shops. How can we choose to eat healthily if we don't know what's in our foods? We know that many of the chemical used in growing and processing our food have deleterious effect on health, but if we don't know what they are we cannot safely avoid them. For instance "Roundup" has been found in many cereal based foods, such as bisquits, breads and breakfast cereals and has been linked to hormonal, reproductive interference and to cancers (Scientific American). Roundup is used by almost every farmer in the US and the UK. There are 47 different pesticides used on apples. 4 are known or probable carcinogens, 16 are suspected hormone disrupters, 5 are neurotoxins, 6 are developmental and reproductive toxins and 11 are honeybee toxins (whatsonmyfood.org). Apples are supposed to be good for you! The public need to be informed of the toxins in the food they buy and eat.28 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Eva Tombs

Mhairi Black: Stay in Parliament!Parliament is rubbish - we all know that. And being a good MP is probably even more rubbish. But we need the good MPs to stay in Parliament, and make it less rubbish. And Mhairi Black of the SNP is one of them. I'm English, and don't want Scotland to leave the UK. I wouldn't vote the SNP. But I know a good opposition MP when I see one - who calls out the hypocrisy of the government, speaks up for those stepped on by the cuts and makes sure the Brexit deal we get from the EU is a good one. Parliament is full of boring old men, weird traditions, strange rituals and some seriously odd cosplay. One of the chambers isn't even elected, and the building itself is falling apart. That's why we need decent MPs like Mhairi Black to stay in office and strive to make it better - more representative, responsive and honest. Mhairi: Please don't leave!6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ben Evans

More NHS mental health hospitals need opening, not closing. When you're at a time where you're mentally distressed, to the point you need to be in hospital, knowing where you are plays a bigger role than you'd think. If you know you're up the road from your house, or a short bus ride away, it gives you peace of mind. You know you're family and friends will be able to visit you, and bring you things you might need. It also means you can have effective home leave before being discharged. Now imagine, you're being sent 100miles away from your home, to a place where you probably don't know anyone. What if no one in your family drives? You become alone and isolated, at a time where being around people who love you matters more than anything; but you're all alone instead. There are kids being sent far away! Some as young as 12. If you're far away, and you are in a unit where you can't use your mobile, how are you meant to stay in contact with friends? What if you're in that hospital for months? Having no familiarity makes you sink even lower. It is essential that more is done to improve the current bed crisis.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sarah Bajor

Chlamydia routine screening in pregnancy nationallyI work in a hospital enviroment where i see families affected by the common STI, Chlamydia ( Chlamydia Trachomatis). But what shocked me the most is the UK NSC and Public health have not worked together to approve Chlamydia screening in pregnant woman. I have seen women and heard stories from women, who have given birth to babies that have had Chlamydia that has been passed on by the mother while being vaginally delivered. These women have not known that they had Chlamydia and feel a sense of guilt and anger that the fact they never knew which could hhave been prevented and that they had passed this on to their baby. Chlamydia could potentially be fatal to a baby if left untreated, It can cause the baby to have very bad eye infections ( inclusion conjunctivitis) from being exposed to the mothers infected vaginal fluids, it could lead to an infection in the respiratory tract, causing infant pneumonia which if this isn't then picked up could lead to respiratory failure. A women who is infected increases the risk of her waters breaking prematurely, causing the baby to also be born early. This is why it is important for me to get this changed. It costs the NHS less to test the mother before baby arrives, to what it does when both mother and baby need treating with antibiotics. the stress and suffering of seeing a poorly baby should be enough to ensure that every mother is given every right to ensure her health is well before her baby enters the world and be given a right to a healthy baby. Its not fair on the little babies Some hospitals do do this but its not a necessary screen nationally, which is why we need this to be a national screening process. Women asume that they have been tested, but its not always the case for a lot of pregnant women. Please support this campaign. I want this changed nationally so it becomes apart of the antenatal screening process and Public health and the uk NSC to make a decision in making this possible. Please sign..16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kim Hannaford

David Lloyd Clubs (Lincoln) - Double BubbleThere are simply too many tennis members trying to book indoor courts unsuccessfully. Tennis coaching has booking priority rights by 24hours, resulting in paying members struggling to source court availability - especially at 'peak times'. The number of coaches utilising the courts within 'peak times' appears to have recently escalated - is this fair to paying members?38 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michael Clipsham

Fund the Cavell Centre, PeterboroughOtherwise some people will die younger, some will not integrate with society, people at work will lose their jobs and effect local prosperity. Staff will not be able to work in a job they have trained hard to achieve. People will be at risk to themselves and others and will be unfairly accommodated in a police station. Remember, people with mental health problems are often highly skilled with a creative lateral thinking process.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Luke Aldington
