• STOP HOSPITALS REQUIRING PASSPORTS BEFORE TREATMENT
Many of our poorest, and the long-term sick will not have these. They have no use for them if they are too sick to travel and are often too poor to afford them thanks to cuts. A close friend of mine, whose chronic ill health stems from an injury she sustained whilst teaching in a state school, has neither the use for or the means to pay for either a passport or a driver's license. • Reverse the decision to undertake a split consultation concerning the Horton General Hospital.
To allow split consultation would be dangerous - paving the way for an easier path to downgrade acute services at the Horton General Hospital which will have the most dangerous consequences on the residents of the Banbury area.

  • The NHS NEEDS more funding
As a front line worker I have witness the 24/7 hard work it provides from the beginning of life right through to the end of life. It is a huge part of all of our communities and a major part of uk citizens lives. Recently the British Red Cross reported the NHS is in a 'humanitarian crisis' it is and the government want to sit back and let it be lost. Majority of the U.K. use this service, once it's lost the majority of the U.K. Will not be able to afford healthcare. Let's fight for our NHS!!!!! Don't let them take it away!!! Healthcare professionals, nurses and Drs are under paid and unable to strike ( not that we want this). The older nurses and Drs have retired, most have left because of the pressures and there isn't enough student intakes to repenish staff shortages Because of money, pressures, fees and childcare. Leaving a massive shortage mixed that with the increase of patients. This extra money will help fund services and new/more staff. So please save our NHS.

  • Make VW pay NHS for diesel car health effect
The consequences or a company's deliberate avoidance of healthcare measures (such as NOx control measures) must be punishable by compensation and/or costs to all affected parties. The NHS and taxpayers should not have to carry the bill for this type of profit enhancing avoidance measure. In this particular case (VW 'dieselgate') it seems likely that the NHS will be the largest single financial loser and should therefore seek to recover costs.

  • Morgellons Patients are human Beings
This is important because there are hundreds of thousands of people around the world suffering this horrendous affliction and we are being ostracised and denied treatment. We are frightened to speak out for fear of being sectioned because psychiatrists threaten to use the mental health act this illness is physical we need it to be taken serious as this can only be looked on as lawful genicide if not treated. It's also important because thousands are terrified to talk about this affliction for fear of their family and friends ostracising them i have personally been threatened with the mental health act if i dont take the antipsychotic drugs against my will this needs to stop today right now we are all sufferring because the medical profession refuse to test us for Lyme disease which can show if we have Morgellons we get refused many blood tests that could be of great help this is why it's important to validate this microscopic pathogen that destroys the human body slowly but surely. It is important as Human rights are being infringed ! All based on fact. William Windsor-King January 2017

  • Revenues from new sugar tax should be spent on UK children.
According to Barnados, there are 3.7 million children living in poverty in the UK. Clearly more needs to be done. It is important to public confidence in the government, that the government is seen to prove that it has the welfare of children at heart and is not just seen as using children's health issues just to raise tax revenues.

  • Let Peterborough Breathe - Clean Air Petition
Peterborough is one of the most car friendly cities in the United Kingadom with its transport links and parkways. Air pollution is increasing more and more through new distribution companies being attracted to the city and people moving to the city due to work. We urgently need to be reduce Peterborough's air pollution in order prevent this affecting resident's health and wellbeing. Peterborough is wanting to be the UK's Environmental Capital. By addressing increasing air pollution in our city this would send a clear message to the rest of the UK that our political representatIves are concerned and proactively wanting to address this serious situation and find a solution. Air pollution causes permanent lung damage in babies and young children and exacerbates lung and heart disease in older people, and particularly affects people living in the city centre and near busy roads. In 2014 air pollution levels reached record highs in Peterborough with people complaining of breathing difficulties. http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/news/environment/health-worry-as-air-pollution-quality-in-peterborough-hits-worst-level-1-5978333 London and other cities are implementing Clean Air Zones. Peterborough should not be left behind. The people of Peterborough deserve healthy, clean air.

  • Increase spending NOW on health and social care to a minimum of 10.6%GDP
The NHS is the embodiment of British values, free healthcare to all at the point of access. Social Care is entwined in healthcare. We need to stop the collapse of the NHS and the Social Care system now, and the only way we can do this is by putting enough money into the system to allow it to work. Telling the local councils to raise money through local taxes is not enough. This is a national problem for a national service, and it needs more money raised through taxes.

  • Urinary Tract Infections tested for and prescribed for by a pharmacist instead of a GP.
It saves the patient the hassle of waiting for an appointment or call back from the GP for a prescription of antibiotics. This would also save the NHS the cost and time of a GP testing and prescribing for a UTI. Many who have suffered a UTI before know and understand the symptoms but can end up painfully waiting to be treated. Balancing work, family commitments and your health can be difficult and is made more difficult when worrying about missing the call back from the GP or making sure you get your prescription into the pharmacy before closing. A UTI can be very debilitating and this could be dramatically improved by allowing patients antibiotic prescription treatment over the counter.
