Virgin Trains propose a reduction in staff numbers, replacing people with increased ticket machines. Maintaining existing staff numbers will protect jobs for local people. Ticket machines can not deliver the current level of customer service such as reserving seats for frequent travellers with season tickets or identifying the lowest cost ticket for customers.

We have critical levels of pollution, congestion and obesity in London. Our children have the highest levels of obesity in the EU. In Holland and Denmark where more than 50% of children cycle to school they have less than half the obesity levels. Children and adults are also suffering from health issues caused by dangerous chemicals from car exhausts. At present cars dominate our roads in Central London even though the large majority of households do not own a car (69% in the city, 63% in Westminster). Many more people would like to cycle and walk but find the number of deaths and injuries from motorised traffic off putting (tragically 1,216 fatal and serious injuries in London the year ending June 2014) Please help us make this radical change in London's transport system and reclaim the streets for pedestrians and cyclists to enjoy without fear.

Residents of Fleet and Church Crookham are alarmed and dismayed to learn that there will be severe and substantial cuts to the bus services in our area. Under these proposals Bus 72 will no longer go to Aldershot from Fleet, instead replacing the number 30 to Farnborough, thus preventing people from getting to work in Aldershot and children from much of Fleet being able to get to All Hallows School and Sixth Form college. There will be no buses between Fleet and Aldershot. The number 30 as well as going to Farnborough serves as a school bus service to Calthorpe Park School from Ancells Farm. Bus 77 is going to be cut, meaning that children will no longer be able to get the bus to Calthorpe Park School – this at a time when Calthorpe Park School is rapidly expanding. Getting to Frimley Park hospital will become much more challenging. Furthermore Pondtail, Crookham village, Zebon Copse and Quetta Park will no longer have any scheduled bus service at all, isolating many in these communities. This will be a severe disadvantage for elderly and disabled people in our area along with many young people.

Many children walk along side and cross the road near this infant and junior school at dropoff and pickup times. Reducing the speed limit will make the road safer and less intimidating for the children.

This service is used by a lot of local residents every day to go back and forth to London where they work. Without the 797 they will have to use the train at nearly double the cost. The students at Herfordshire University will be affected in the same way. Patients having to go to major London hospitals will be in the same situation. Old aged pensioners with freedom passes won't be able to use it in the train and won't be able to afford the train fare. Arriva operates the 757 service from Luton to London -Victoria. They run 45 coaches 24 hours daily. If Arriva says that they are discontinuing the 797 because it is not economical. The same applies to the five 757 services both ways between 1.00am - 5.00am in the morning. Arriva could cancel these five services and instead run a minimum 797 service which in the end will be more profitable for the operator. This way customers of the 797 won't be so badly affected by Arrivas decision.

Because buggies can be folded up. Some wheelchair users are bound to their wheelchairs for LIFE as they are disabled. Mothers or fathers can push buggies and can always wait for another bus.

When you see disabled people out and about it's not always apparent how hard it is to get about my daughter is a wheelchair user and she is ill which is what has made her disabled so if she is having a reasonable day health wise we go out as there are plenty of times when she is too ill or in hospital for treatment

The recent case of Doug Paulley vs First Group ended with the judges ruling that the wheelchair spaces on buses do not need to be vacated by persons refusing to do so. Effectively they have ruled that persons using wheelchairs may be discriminated against by those who feel it is too much trouble to fold away a pushchair, or simply move to another seat. This throws the whole situation into confusion. The majority of persons using wheelchairs are doing so because they are not able to stand for long periods, if at all, and do not have the luxury of being able to fold their wheelchair away while on public transport. Able bodied persons can stand, pushchairs can be folded, and infants carried. Refusing to vacate the more easily accessible areas on buses and trains is discriminating against those who are physically unable to reach the other areas, and must be made an offence. There is no excuse for a wheelchair user to be denied transport in a situation where it is physically possible to accommodate them should other users show consideration. The current regulations are too woolly, and the manner in which they can be interpreted leaves them open to rulings such as the above, which renders them effectively null and void.

Stonehenge is a world heritage sight that still has much to tell us and requires protection. The landscape around it is full of archaeological remains. As an example, warm springs that were apparently used thousands of years ago were recently discovered within walking distance of the stones. Any attempt to build a tunnel underneath the site is bound to destroy part of this ancient landscape. This proposal jeopardises the entire site.

Every year, drivers kill ponies in the New Forest through driving too fast, and too carelessly. We need to re-educate everyone who drives in the New Forest and introduce new measures to manage our speed. We lost the Brockenhurst white baby donkey, called Jo-Jo in last week of November 2014, who was killed at 6pm. His Mother had to be moved away as she was so distraught and has now been taken off the forest. But this is just one incident, there are so many losses like this which don't get reported. We need to remember the forest is a National Park with Ponies roaming free, many with young. Would you drive at 40mph knowing you could run over a child? The trees provide an area for wildlife such as squirrels, hedgehogs and birds to live free and natural. It also is a popular route taken by many dog walkers and also cyclists as a barrier from the dangers of the road the other side. The trees provide a natural barrier for people who visit the farm from the noise of the roads and helps cut down the effects of pollution from the traffic in the area.

Some years ago the pavement outside our main entrance on Cliff Villas was widened. this was as a result of our school council writing to the local authority. This resulted in children and parents having more space to get in and out of school safely. This entrance is now much less crowded and dangerous. Unfortunately we do still have a big problem with too many buggies and people at the Nursery and Reception entrance each morning and afternoon. This is because that part of the pavement is still too narrow. It is an ordinary sized pavement with the added difficulty of some very big trees in it. This means that the adults have to move around trees, people and other buggies. as well as coping with the children and families leaving from the main entrance and walking along the street to go home. We are worried that there will be an accident soon with somebody being run over by the wheels of a pushchair or getting pushed onto the road by the crowd and into a car. If the pavement was wider, parents would have space to move around the trees without blocking another parent’s way making it much safer and calmer. If the widened pavement outside our main entrance was extended to the boundary of our school building this whole issue would be resolved. We would also like the council to consider making Cliff Villas a one way road. It would stop arguments between car drivers when they meet each other going the other way and can’t get past - it is currnetly not big enough for cars travelling two abreast. A wider pavement would not then be a problem for car drivers either. We hope the council will think carefully about our idea and can help us make outside our school safer for parents and children and that you will support us in putting pressure on them to do so by signing our petition.
