• Recycling facilities for all
Recycling is an important factor in protecting our planet from the impact that we are having on it, it enables us to use products such as plastics and glass safe in the knowledge that it won't hinder our wildlife and areas of natural beauty. If individuals do not have access to recycling facilities and they do not drive they will be unable to recycle despite their convictions.

  • Proscribe the EDL
The rise of the far right leads our nation into darkness. The right to free speech cannot include the use of violence at rallies and demonstrations

  • Ban plastic milk cartons
It is important for the environment and wildlife. We need to reduce the amount of plastics being used and plastic milk cartons are being thrown away by households and companies on a daily basis.

  • Celebrate Religious Diversity
Christians are officially the most persecuted minority in the world at the moment, Jews have a long and painful history of persecution and Islamophobia is prevalent in our society. It would be wonderful for SE railway to start conversations amongst customers and colleagues by demonstrating how much all of these groups have in common. It would also combat religious illiteracy which is leading to intolerance in our society.

  • Bus service for residents on the quay and Riverside view
The Riverside view estate is quite isolated and can be dangerous to walk to and from. With the wagons that speed down the quay with no obvious speed limit indicated and the industrial estate behind is a hazard to walk through. The nearest bus service is the 11 from the marsh which is 15-20 minute walk away, or a 35 minute walk into the town centre which can be issue for young families, people who are unable to drive, disabled and the elderly.

  • Make UK government recognise same-sex relationships in divorce law
Currently, if you enter a same-sex affair, whether you are in a heterosexual marriage or a same-sex one, the affair is not considered adultery. This is because the UK law around this does not recognise a same-sex relationship in the same way it recognises a heterosexual one. This is not equality.

  • Gambling adverts on tv and everywhere on the internet
It's important because they are using techniques which give you a little and take a whole lot more back like a stereotypical drug dealer offering you a little try to get you to buy into it... I believe it's a scam and only destruction can come from it to the majority.

  • The Crimea Monument. Sheffield
The Crimea Monument is a listed war memorial, It was errected in memory of the men who fell in epic battles including The Charge of The Light Brigade, and according to The Victorian Society is in the top 10 of endangered buildings in the UK. The disgrace is that the memorial was removed for the Botanical Gardens when they were renovated on the understaning that it would be resited within 2 years. This never happened and this monument which was paid for by public donations has been left to gather dust out of sight of the public. Repeated requests to Sheffield Council have been met with disinterest. It seems that Sheffield does not respect its war dead. We call on Sheffield Council to find a site and put this fine listed monument back on display so that the public can pay their respectsto Britain's war dead.

  • Let's break up earlier for the summer holidays!
British schools break up long after the summer solstice. By August, the season feels positively autumnal and the hottest days have usually passed. Rather than teachers and pupils sweltering in hot classrooms (and children having to do homework during the'long' evenings), families could be holidaying in Britain at the peak of summer. This would boost our tourist industry. Our continental neighbours break up in June (as do American children); why haven't the term dates been reformed (something the government has been talking about since the 1990s)? Our children deserve better!

  • Private and work pensions
Try living in a home with no furniture, cooker, fridge freezer or washing machine; having to pay towards rent and council tax. My monthly rent and council tax is more than my meagre private pension. I have to pay this as I am on JSA contribution based and when I go onto income based, I will have even less though rent will be paid I'll still have to pay council tax. I have no chance of being able to buy the necessities. I have been told to go to charities etc but why should I, I don't want charity and I can certainly guarantee that not one MP could live on what I get and try to furnish it without anyone helping them.
