Stop the Burmester Road mobile mastHave you noticed the new metal cabinets at the end of Burmester Road? They are part of Vodafone's plan to build a 15 metre mobile phone mast on the corner with Garratt Lane. You may have heard about this before. The original plan for the Burmester Mast was opposed by numerous local residents and rejected by Wandsworth Council in December 2016. Vodafone have always been well aware of this. Thanks to a legal loophole, Vodafone consider they can build the Burmester Mast anyway, within metres of Burmester House, despite the objections of local residents. Indeed, they sent the diggers in at the end of August to start work by building the cabinets. Mobile phone companies such as Vodafone should listen to local residents. There are acres of industrial use land on the far side of Garratt Lane where the mast could be situated, which would still give us better 4G coverage. Wandsworth Council are trying to find alternative sites, but Vodafone consider that legally they could still build the Burmester Mast. If we unite, we can stop this. If you want your voice to be heard, please sign this petition calling on Vodafone to relocate the Burmester Mast. It will only take 30 seconds.....165 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Local Residents

Stop Idling for Cleaner Air in Brighton & HoveIdling cars are a major contributor to air pollution in our city. Hotspots in the city such as Queens Road, Western Road and Rottingdean High Street regularly exceed both UK and EU limits for nitrogen dioxide (NO2). NO2 is a toxic gas that causes health problems such as asthma, bronchitis and lung cancer and contributes to 6% of all annual deaths in Brighton & Hove. If this petition reaches 1250 signatures the issue will be debated by the full Brighton & Hove City Council. Please sign this petition for cleaner air in our city.553 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Marianna Ebel

Plastic recyclingRecycling plastic in particular is becoming a nightmare having to scrutinise every package before disposal. Most supermarket packaging has a degree of recyclability, but for example, the plastic tray containing meat can be recycled but the covering film cannot. Likewise, not all plastic canisters trays or other containers are recyclable. It should become compulsory for retailers to sell goods only in matierials that do not have to go to landfill.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bill Broadway

Save our beautiful tree in Village Rd West Kirby - keep the TPOThis beautiful tree adds so much to the local area, is home to lots of wildlife and has been here over seventy years. We love it. It is stable, has already lost a lot of its neighbours on the site and there are few trees of this stature left in our area. Please take our views into consideration when making your decision on any TPO removal requests.174 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Bob Glass

No Gasification Plant in WashingtonWe the local residents are opposed to the plans for a gasification plant being built on our doorsteps. The increase in traffic to feed the plant would greatly compound Washington's congested roads, additional concerns are the litter, pests & vermin, air quality, odours, noise, safety, health, and effect on the environment that this development would bring. The plant could be disastrous both environmentally and economically for Washington. There are proven technologies, better than incineration which can also produce energy with significantly less pollution. We, the residents of Washington do not want this imposed on our community. We, the local population, our families and our children would have to live with the consequences for many years to come. This would not only effect the residential areas of Washington, it will also impact local business, schools and neighbouring areas of Sunderland. Please sign the petition your support counts!2,922 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by No Gasification Plant in Washington

Remove Bridge Netting around Castle Forgate/Train StationDespite the precautions taken to prevent animals from accessing these points the netting provisions have failed. Consequently, pigeons have gained access through torn holes and areas were netting has been inadequately installed. The result: Pigeons are getting trapped within the netting and dying appalling and wholly preventable deaths. These deaths occur through multiple routes: namely suffocation, starvation and dehydration. The suffering these animals must experience is unimaginable and is evident by the number of corpses littering the netting around Castle Foregate which raises additional public health concerns as the bodies decompose above our heads. Shrewsbury Town Council & Shropshire County Council please remove or enforce the removal of this uneccassary method of keeping away so called 'pests' : it isn't working and is resulting in unsightly, abhorrent, disturbing scenes in our town.1,157 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Daniel Baker

Save Public Green Recreational Playing field Higher Downs LongridgeThis land is public green open recreational playing field space, in the green belt, as identified in CEC Local plan. It goes against Local and National planning policy to sell it. Football, dog walking, blackberrying. There for families to be active & healthy outdoors on their doorstep. It would be a massive vote loser in the area, local politicians are opposed to the sale which had been progressing in secret.272 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Debbie Jamison

Fight for our FieldsAll over Britain cash strapped local authorities are selling off playing fields to companies for housing to be built. South Tyneside is no exception. Our green spaces are vanishing. South Tyneside has one of the lowest amounts of green space in the country. 46% of south tyneisde is built on comapred to a 6% national average. Our school plyaing fields and leisure facilities are important to our wellbeing. Brinkburn School Community fields are essential to the survival of a lot of grass roots sport in South Shields. The fields are used by Football, Rugby, Athletics, Archery and more and are an essential resource to ensure local people of all ages have the opportunity to stay active and healthy. Support our campaign to save these playing fields; we need them now and as an investment in all of our futures.188 of 200 SignaturesCreated by David Donohue
