Cheshire East's withdrawal of some supported bus servicesThe saving of £1.6 million would be counterproductive as cutting bus services in Cheshire East will have undesirable consequences and cause distress and inconvenience to many residents. We believe that the following groups would be more adversely affected; the elderly, disabled and infirm, the young and people on low incomes. Getting to work, shops, schools, colleges, doctors, banks, social events and hospital appointments would be made more inaccessible. We also believe that trade in towns and town markets will be affected. The stopping of evening services will have a negative affect on restaurants and pubs and other social groups. We are concerned that the withdrawal of bus services will result in more cars on the road and significant reduction in air quality. Many of the towns and villages are growing in size and as a result we should be given improved services not declining ones.797 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Paula Eaton

Ditch Plastic Bottles at WimbledonIt is predicted that by 2050, there will be more plastic by weight in our oceans than fish. At the moment, the Wimbledon tournament is screened to hundreds of millions of viewers around the world - with images of tennis players and spectators, consuming and throwing bottle after bottle away. Discarded bottles are littered across the courts. Even players are speaking out calling for a ban on single-use plastic bottles at Wimbledon. And British number one - Johanna Konta- wants the All England Lawn Tennis Club to take action. Lord’s Cricket Ground and Glastonbury festival have announced they are both banning plastic bottles at future events. The All England Tennis Club should follow suit. Now is the time for them to take environmental responsibility by not supplying players and others with throwaway plastic bottles at Wimbledon.108,329 of 200,000 SignaturesCreated by Danny Ardeshir

Reschedule bin pick-ups back to every two weeksAll of our neighbours, including ourselves, are storing bags of trash in every nook and cranny of our bungalows, other neighbours bins, or just leaving outside. It is unsanitary and unhealthy. Animals tear them open and spread garbage everywhere. The smell during this hot weather is unbearable plus the increase in the fly population. Many of us are pensioners and this additional burden is not fair to anyone.561 of 600 SignaturesCreated by William Benton

Change Taffs Well to a well enforced 20mph speed limit throughoutAfter speaking to residents along the full length of the Village, the majority of people mentioned either suffering near misses with speeding vehicles, being fed up of 'boy-racer' types speeding noisily through through our streets at all hours and also disdain at users of the A470 using our village as a short-cut. We have only one speed camera by The Swan Inn aimed at slowing people down as they enter the Village from Nantgarw. Firstly - this only slows down drivers at the first 50ft of Cardiff Road, at which point they can drive any speed they like past the school, shops and surgery. Secondly, the camera doesn't stop everybody from speeding through the Village from the Tongwynlais end and exiting the village at speeds of approximately 50mph towards Nantgarw. The traffic situation needs urgent attention and we, the residents are now prepared to enter an official dialogue with the Local Authority with the view of agreeing a plan of action to make our community a much safer place.85 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dave Chamberlain

Major development in Worthing threatens long established fox family- Please help us protect them! The fox family currently live on a large derelict site, which has been vacant for years, consequently growing into a beautiful wildlife haven. The two adults made their den under a hedge and the wildflower meadow that has grown on the re-wildered garden has become the cub’s playground. Many local people have watched and admired this beautiful fox family from afar over the years. It has been a thrill to observe wildlife on our doorstep. There are now plans to completely destroy their well established home and build an 11 storey block of 36 flats with underground parking. Building is imminent. Overnight, this fox family of three (a bonded pair with their six month old cub) will lose their safe haven with nowhere to go. The “best” case scenario will be that the fox family will bolt and try to find a new territory, but this will not be easy as the few nearby gardens are most likely the territory of other urban foxes that will fiercely fight to protect their space. Also, not many humans welcome foxes into their garden and there have been cases of humans attempting to poison foxes. The worst case scenario is that some or all of these foxes could be hurt or killed by the demolition or could be classified as “vermin” and killed by “pest” controllers. Foxes are a native species and play and important part of our ecologic system. They do not harm us and it is humans who take more and more of their habitat away, actively persecuting them as if we had a right to own every inch of Planet Earth. Foxes have as much a right to live here as we do and as compassionate human beings it is our duty to protect them and all other wildlife. All they want is to be allowed to live their short lives in peace. They cannot speak up for themselves. Please be the voice for these beautiful, intelligent and sociable animals, so they will not be killed and are given time to find a new home. Thank you for speaking up for these beautiful animals.4,360 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Lilly Raven

Say NO to fracking in YorkAlmost all of the City of York, and the many towns and villages around it, are licensed for fracking. Help preserve Our Local MeadowsThese meadows are a former landfill site that has gradually over the years been transformed and enhanced into a green space with a diverse number of uses, Trafford Councils Strategy for the site includes: • The provision of attractive, accessible links from surrounding residential areas; • The creation of a strategic route encouraging cycling and walking, linking urban and Countryside areas, that is highly accessible by a large number of Trafford residents; • The inclusion of measures to secure improvements to biodiversity, for instance by Enhancing the area adjacent to the existing wetland to encourage Reed Buntings, Improving meadow habitat for Skylarks and supplementing naturally regenerating oak trees; • Tree planting to create woodland to help tackle air pollution and remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere All this could now be under threat if Land care develops proposals to industrialise our local greenspace, the local area includes high density housing and some depravation, and this green space is well used and valued by the local community. It is also home a diverse community of wildlife that would also be lost.1,120 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Stephen Adshead

Save the Centre of Great Notley from being a Tesco housing estateThere is no heart to this village anymore. Unless you can count Tesco as a viable community (as it is prolific to the extreme in Braintree) to meet people in GNGV? Due to an originally chosen bad choice of 3 planning applications and succession of bad management, the site was closed earlier this year. It is the Centre of what is supposed to be a community, but due to the aforementioned reasons, in order to make up for lack of profits the prices went up and drove customers away. It was a lack of foresight from 3 planning options that Braintree District Council allowed this inappropriate venue to be built. It was not the favoured option but they did it anyway. From other local 'family' orientated pubs, the format can work and has a proven track record. The fact that Shepherd Neame and Braintree District Council made a bad decision in choosing this option is not the fault of the community. We have to live with those decisions. I do not think that a simple redevelopment of the land for housing is conducive to the inclusivity of residents to form a coherent community. I doubt that will happen in a concession of the local predominant Tesco that seem to litter the district of Braintree. We have 4 stores already and if that's the heart of the community then it is dead. I would ask people put their name to this petition to evidence that the community wants to retain a central point where they can meet. A village hall is insufficient for an inclusive social environment as the activities are specific to what's available. Should you choose not to sign, then I think we will be resigned to a demolished pub that's replaced by more houses.371 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Tony Salmon

Ban Street drinking - CastlefordSo our community can feel safe in our own town. To reduce local crime, littering, urinating in streets. It's having an effect on our local stores as people are avoiding certain hotspots, it's having an effect on our children who are witnessing swearing, arguing, fighting in broad daylight. I walk to work through town everyday and walk around vomit and urine. This is then costing the taxpayers money.1,577 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Abbi O'Donnell
