• New service provider for the 90 bus route
Hundreds of commuters use this bus service from Northolt and are fed up with the current service provider Metroline because the quality of service has been poor for a number of years. Single deckers have been used at busy times (when they are only meant to be using double Deckers), drivers driving erratically, using old buses and buses not coming for at least 20mins most of the time. As well as this buses have been terminating at Yeading lane at busy periods such as in the mornings and in the afternoon rush hour. Many complaints have been made to Metroline and tfl, but there have been no further improvements. Abellio (London & Surrey) currently runs the E9 bus route between Ealing Broadway and Yeading Barnhill Estate from which they have taken over from Metroline, since doing so I feel that the service has dramatically improved, which is why I feel they would be the best company to take over the route. In addition to this Abellio (London & Surrey) already has a garage in Hayes, which the bus route 90 passes through. The reason I am asking for new buses is due to the fact the the old buses currently used are causing a nuisance especially on Kingshill Avenue as the old buses are very loud and they cause vibrations on the road which causes cracks to appear in houses (including mine).

  • Not all disabilities are visible
To change public perception of disabled people and what it actually means. For none wheelchair users not to be or feel judged as we may look able bodied. To also raise awearness of disabilities and that not all of them are visible but just as worthy. Also for a new sign to state this.

  • Make Employee Representation on Company Boards Law
Dear Theresa May, Please can you help UK industry and their Employees to have greater Success, Collaboration, Flexibility, Security and Speed of Business Decisions by ensuring we have Full Employee Representation in the Boardroom. Success • Throughout Europe the most successful companies have Employee Representation directly engaging with the company by participating in board meetings. • Company success is aided not hindered by Employee Representation. Collaboration • Employee board Representation leads to collaboration and avoids industrial disputes. • It is truly a Win-Win situation. • Collaboration between the board and the employees removes many elements of the current "them and us" attitude of UK companies that often leads to outcomes that neither the company nor employees want. Flexibility • Employee board representatives are very often more creative and flexible with their demands. Knowing the challenges facing a company they will often ask for improved investment or help develop restructuring proposals instead of a pay rise knowing that this will help the company. • Currently unions predominantly campaign for increased salaries as they have no insights to the company pressures and direction. Security • In the light of Brexit it is now more important than ever that Employee board representatives are able to work with management to ensure operations are not moved off-shore without a meaningful set of discussions.. • Flexible Employee Responses can be worked on to enhance job security. Speed of Business Decisions • Employee board representatives participating in board meeting discussions are able to formulate responses ahead of a hard company decisions. This means that consultation occurs before a hard decision is publicly declared and prevents company back tracking and face saving that wastes time and effort.

  • Ban Supermarkets From Throwing Away Unused Food
France has become the first country in the world to ban supermarkets from throwing away or destroying unsold food, forcing them instead to donate it to charities and food banks. There is food banks in most towns and cities across the UK and like France the wasted food could be donated to them. Almost 50% of total amount of food thrown away in the UK comes from our home. We throw away 7 million tonnes of food and drink from our homes every year in the UK, and more than half of this food and drink we could've eaten and this 7 million tonnes of food wasted is equal to over £17,000,000,000 of worth of food each year, yes you heard me £17,000,000,000 which could be all given to those in need. It is also terrible for the enviroment. It takes a land mass larger than China to grow the food each year that is ultimately never eaten – land that has been deforested, species that have been driven to extinction, indigenous populations that have been moved, soil that has been degraded – all to produce food that we then just throw away. In addition, food that is never eaten accounts for 25% of all fresh water consumption globally. Gulp. Not only are all of the resources that went into creating the uneaten food wasted (land, water, labour, energy, manufacturing, packaging, etc), but when food waste goes to landfill, which is where the vast majority of it ends up, it decomposes without access to oxygen and creates methane, which is 23x more deadly than carbon dioxide. Every which way you look at it food waste is a major culprit in destroying our planet, and in fact if food waste were a country, it would be the third largest emitter of greenhouse gases after China and the USA. Millions upon millions people are starving every year all around the world and we all will be affected by global warming, that's over 7,00,000,000 people! Saving these unused foods can resolve this problem immensely.

  • Strip Eric Bristow of his MBE
The government must make clear that attacking abuse survivors is not tolerated. Condoning his behaviour could discourage other victims from reporting abuse.

  • Introduce a Carbon tax to combat climate change
This may be our last chance to stop climate change. If the average temperature rises by 2°C then coral reefs will die. Not only are these natural phenomenons beautiful and unique, coral reef plants and the animals that inhabit them are important sources of new medicines that are being developed to treat cancer, arthritis, Alzheimer's disease, heart disease, and other diseases due to their amazing biochemistry. Also, if the Greenland ice cap melts completely, as it is already starting too, then the fresh water might completely stop the Gulf Stream, which is a natural ocean current that keeps us warm. If the Gulf Stream stops then precipitation will fall as snow instead of rain, and over time could lead to the UK's climate becoming more like that of eastern Russia during winter.

  • Stop the ticket rip off
Enable real fans to purchase tickets at face value rather than feeding greed of others. Tickets are being purchased with the sole purpose of being resold for personal gain. This happens with sports events, music events and theatre events. It is wrong and needs stopping. To stop this practice would be easy.

  • Draw attention to government policies which shorten the lives of the elderly.
Statistics published by the ONS in July 2016 show that the mortality rate in England and Wales increased by 5.7% in 2015. This was equivalent to an extra 27,000 deaths, the biggest annual rise since 1968. Rates were notably higher at ages 75 and over for both males and females in 2015 compared with 2014. In fact, the death rate has increased year on year since 2011 (with the exception of a 1.1% fall in 2014), indicating the reversal of a long term trend of falling death rates which began in the 1970s. Danny Dorling, an Oxford University professor and an adviser to Public Health England, said: “When we look at 2015, we are not just looking at one bad year. We have seen excessive mortality - especially among women - since 2012 ….. I suspect the largest factor here is cuts to social services - to meals on wheels, to visits to the elderly …” Social services budgets have been badly affected by reduced grants from central government, which have been cut by 36% since 2011. Furthermore, as noted by the Guardian (14th November 2015): “Councils in northern, urban cities and London boroughs with high levels of deprivation predominantly run by Labour have seen their budgets cut by almost 10 times the amount lost by mostly Tory-administered authorities in rural southern England.” The precedent for a UN inquiry into violations of human rights caused by government spending cuts was established in October 2015, when, at a closed hearing in London, the UN launched an investigation into alleged violations of disabled people’s human rights in the UK. The inquiry’s findings will be published in 2017.

  • Stop the pension age rising to 70.
Are you going to be fit enough to work until your 70 years of age? Also remember, longevity could shorten over the coming years. Finding work for the younger of us could become more and more difficult in future years as technology races on. We should be thinking and working on how we are going to look after the increasing population in general, young and senior while jobs for all of us us are decreasing. Lastly it's not a good idea to think this isn't important to you at the moment. Because I can assure you it is. So, please sign now and protect your future years!
