Stop the BBC referring to terrorists as IslamistsBritain used to be renown for fairness and tolerance. Some of our right wing newspapers are demonising Muslims. The BBC as a public broadcaster should not fall into the same trap. The perpetrators of the Paris attacks were terrorists. There is nothing Islamic about their actions, so why refer to them as Islamists?5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Chris Gardiner

Professor Stephen Hawking - please talk directly to Trump on Climate ChangeThe President Elect of the USA is a climate change denier, intent on withdrawing from the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and lifting environmental restrictions on the fossil fuel industries. His disastrous intentions literally endanger life on this planet. His mind must be changed. A man who cannot take advice and does not like to read is unlikely to heed any factual evidence brought to him through traditional research, which he is unlikely to undertake in the first place. He does however respond to the idea of popularity and understands the power created by celebrity. While there is zero chance the rest of us will get through to him, there is a possibilty he may listen to the man who commands perhaps the greatest intellectual respect on the planet. Therefore with infinite respect, we call on Professor Stephen Hawking. Professor Hawking: We ask you to immediately insist on a one-on-one meeting with Donald Trump, and personally present him with the case for action against climate change. Play the time-lapse movies; explain the hockey stick graph: talk him through the processes that create meteorological extremes; use whatever means you and the scientific community can muster to illuminate and prove the accuracy of the data, but please do it face to face, in a publicised situation where your unique celebrity means Trump cannot refuse you an audience, or fail to afford you the respect the rest of the world already owes you. Tell him he needs to change his policies, and why. To his face. There is almost zero chance he will listen to anyone else: he might listen to you. Thank you.24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Pete Hambling

BLUE BADGES FOR PEOPLE WITH CFS/METhis is so important to people like myself trying to lead as normal a life as possible while living with this variable (sometimes even within each day) long term disabling health condition. Just because one day, maybe the day of the assessment for how far a person can walk, done by the Council, one is able to walk a reasonable distance. CFS/ME is a variable condition and if we walk the "approved " say 200 yards, it is the very act of doing that which then makes us suffer and become exhausted! There is a severe lack of knowledge and recognition of this illness and I want to change this and help myself and people like me to petition Devon County Council for us to be recognised as needing Blue Badges so that we can continue to be as independent as possible. We want to do our own shopping, etc., and it is the constant anxiety of worrying how close to our destination we can park, which makes so many of us lose our independence. We do not choose to be ill. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Emma Bedford

Marine Lake section fundingThe work the New Brighteners do is important (as our recent award shows) environmentally, as well as Socially and Commercially. Although the Marine section is a wing of the New Brighteners, a separate fund will be set up to dissociate this project from the funded New Brighteners. Our litter picking makes New Brighton a safe place to come, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment, as well as improving the Commercial aspect of Marine Point, (footfall) a major new development in New Brighton. My particular job is to clear the rubbish form the Marine Lake, a definite health hazard prior to my commencing my work here.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peter flowerdew

MOD look after ex service people who are on the streetsToday is Remembrance Sunday 2016, we all remember those who have fallen in the service of our country, but what about those who are living through hell? These ex service people need somewhere safe and warm to get back on their feet, no matter how long it takes. For many, living in a military environment would be like coming home, it would be familiar to them, even though it may not be a proper military camp, the buildings, the layout and the environment would be something they could all identify with. Yes all of these people volunteered to serve our country and go wherever the MOD decided to send them to do whatever needed to be done, they didn't question it, they just went and did it to the best of their ability. Many came out the other end without problems, but many did have problems when they left the services and now find themselves living a hopeless life, on the streets, cold and vulnerable and only charities to help them, it's high time the Government and MOD faced up to their responsibilities and adhered to the terms of the Military Covenant and looked after their own. Please retain one of your estates and fully fund it for the sake of these unfortunate people.36 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dave Austin

Honour the Brexit campaign pledge to increase NHS funding by £350m a weekOne of the most popular, influential and much repeated campaign pledges of the Brexit lobby was to spend our EU membership fees on improving the NHS. The figure proffered was £350 million a week. Official Vote Leave posters said: “Let’s give our NHS the £350 million the EU takes every week.” The infamous campaign bus said: "We send the EU £350 million a week, let's fund our NHS instead" The people have voted, the electorate has spoken, let's call upon the government to honour that pledge. Let's take back control.22 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Richard Wilson

Table a referendum on the outcome of Brexit negotiations before triggering Article 5052% of the British people have spoken, we want to leave the EU, but we have been given no concrete details of what that actually entails. Article 50 needs to be triggered but we need assurances from the government that our voices will continue to be heard, that out best interests will be kept in mind, that the UK as a whole will be best served in this move. Some of the poorest communities in our country have, until now, relied upon EU funding. We need to know what the government will do to ensure that those people most at risk will not suffer as a result of this move. We need to know that the jobs we all rely on to put food on the table will not be at risk as a result of the deals being negotiated on our behalf. In short, we shouldn't be leaving the EU at any cost. We have to know that it is the very best move for our families and the wider UK population as a whole and the government must be held accountable for this by way of a second referendum.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by El Edwards
