• Rename Parliament entrance 'Palmer Gate'
Recognise this brave man's sacrifice on behalf of freedom and democracy. PC Keith Palmer tragically died, tackling the terrorist who attacked Parliament. He may fade from the headlines in the weeks and months to come, but renaming the gate after him will be a lasting tribute to someone who acted to protect all of us. This wasn't just a man doing his job, when Keith was called upon he took the decision to stand up for all of us, he went forward rather than running backwards. Renaming the gate at Parliament would cost nothing, but the gesture and memory of British bobby Keith Palmer's bravery will last for hundreds of years.

  • videos of children being bullied illegal
The suicide rate of young children is astonishing. Young vulnerable children are being exploited by bullies posting videos of their attacks on social media for all to share and see. Not only have they endured the horrific attacks physically but now they have to live with it spread all across the internet. This is humiliating and traumatic for any human being. As the world of social media has grown, the act of bullying has branched, we need to do something about this.

  • Stop the closure of Ceri Richards's Arts Gallery at the Taliesin
Creative places are very important part of our day living and our spiritual health. Closing the Gallery is dismissing the importance of culture in people's lives

  • Save Gladstone Terrace
For the last 30 years, several community-based charities have been able to operate at Gladstone Terrace Community Centre. Four of them are currently based there. This allows us to provide much-needed and valued services: for example, we run a youth assembly, a crèche and a support service for young mothers. Over the years we have won awards for our services and have helped countless people. However, a couple of weeks ago we received a notice to quit the building. Following public pressure, the notice has been put on hold – for now. But the Council could change their mind any day and kick us out with immediate effect. This could happen despite our efforts: we’ve been paying rent for years, we’ve got a loan to buy the building and have made an offer. But the offer has been ignored. Our offer should be considered and accepted: after all we have strong links with the community and if we are to continue delivering our many important services, it is vital that we continue to operate from Gladstone Terrace which is a central and easily accessible location to the families and young people we serve.

  • SAVE CRAWLEY'S HISTORIC MOSAIC
It is important because it is a unique part of our town's history which many of us remember fondly! It is a work of art & is an insult to the artist who made it to just let it rot! Much of Crawley has been destroyed already!

  • Increase County Council Youth Budget to tackle Antisocial Behaviour in Bridgwater
We have seen an increase in Antisocial behaviour in Bridgwater being reported. Young people are being moved from one area to another but the antisocial behaviour moves with them. Youth Clubs in Bridgwater are being bombarded with more young people but they haven't got the resources to cope. Youth Services have been slashed and underfunded and we need to see an increase to deal with the problems we face. We need County Council to increase funding to enable dedicated youth workers to work with these young people to reduce antisocial behaviour and help make Bridgwater and its people feel safe.

  • Safer crossing at High Street Insch
Currently, the junction where Commerce Street and Denwell Road meet High Street is extremely hazardous for children travelling to school. Cars are parked up along either side of High Street leaving poor visibility for pedestrians. Cars travel at speed round the corner from Denwell Drive and Commerce Street into High Street making it very hazardous for children walking to and from school. Although the council has been approached nothing has been put in place to mitigate the risk to school children from this dangerous crossing. It seems only a matter of time before an accident happens.

  • Increase Police Presence in Bridgwater Town Centre
Bridgwater is a small market town and the town centre is the heart of the community. Many local independent stores have complained about the behaviour of this group of teenagers effectively impacting on their businesses. Locals who live in the town centre have said they do not feel safe. Bridgwater residents in general have had enough of a small group of teenagers ruining what is usually a peaceful town centre. Many have said they avoid going to the centre now, especially if alone. A prolonged police presence would deter this group from congregating and inflicting their anti-social behaviour on innocent passers by.

  • Provision of Notice Boards in Cornforth Parish.
This is an open letter to the residents of Cornforth from myself. If I could introduce myself, I am secretary to Cornforth Residents Association. I am heading a campaign to ensure this village is given the right to the basic need of communication through two public notice boards. This is a non-political campaign. I wish to make that crystal clear. I am heading it in my own right but Cornforth Residents Association supports the campaign. THE NOTICE BOARDS. Many groups are running in this village trying to bring the village back to life and connect the whole of the community together. The task of us doing so is foiled over and over again because we have no efficient and sensible information route to interact with the residents. A public notice board has been requested for over three years. The parish council refuse to give us one because we will vandalise them. I believe this village is no worse than any other in the United Kingdom. Every village has the benefit of notice boards. All villages surrounding us have that communication. Many have several un- vandalised notice boards. NOT US. Because of this groups can only benefit parts of our community unless expense and time is given to making posters, leaflets, etc. and none of the groups are financially positioned to pay out money for advertising as it undermines the intent to provide villagers with funds to support the kids and the old living in Cornforth. I am ready to fight back after three years of residents unproductive requests to get events into the public eye. It takes a long time for word of mouth to travel and a lot of people I meet are unhappy that once again they have not been informed of charitable events that they would have attended. Residents in Cornforth are no worse than residents in every other Parish Council in England and your rights are not being fulfilled. We need two notice boards central to our only remaining village shops. One on the High Street and one at The Oval. You have, as residents, almost £200,000 in reserves of the parish. I am quite sure two notice boards, vandal proof at a cost of under £2,000 is not out of the reach and is a tiny financial contribution to the efficient provision of communication between us. Today I am raising an official petition on behalf of the residents and hope I can have your support. If this request fails I am taking this matter to the Secretary of State. Many thanks for your attention. Ann.

  • Our Children Deserve Better Playgrounds in Gorseinon
The playgrounds in Gwalia Crescent, Parc Y Werin and Pontybrenin have all seen better days and are not enough for our area. Playing out in the fresh air is important part of our children's development and makes a big difference to their health and their happiness - nothing can be more important than that.
